Homemade frozen chocolate pudding recipe
July 23, 2012If you have a banana that’s getting very ripe but you are not ready to eat it yet, pop it in the freezer! Then when you are in the mood for a yummy frozen treat, you will already have the basis for that treat – a frozen banana! Yup, a frozen banana can be used to create that creamy, rich texture of ice cream without an ice cream maker and without heavy cream. All you will need is a blender. Trust me, I’ve done this so many times before- here and here, to name a few times.
This time, I added a bit more milk than usual to get a thinner consistency – similar to a pudding. And I flavored it with CHOCOLATE, which turned out so delicious! Here is the recipe.
Homemade frozen chocolate pudding recipe
- 1 frozen banana, sliced
- 2-3 squares chocolate bar
- 1/2 cup milk (I used skim, but you could opt for whole)
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp chocolate syrup
- Start by putting the chocolate bar in the blender or food processor until it has been thoroughly broken down into tiny pieces.
- Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend.
- Enjoy immediately!
