Iced Chai Tea Latte
June 30, 2015If you’ve never made an Iced Chai Tea Latte at home, you’re missing out! The recipe is so easy and the taste is high on the yumminess scale! It is slightly spicy, slightly sweet and refreshingly delicious!
I start with a Chai-flavored tea bag, but of course, you could also make your own “tea” using spices and vanilla. However, in the interest of saving time and effort, I just whip out one of my trusty ol’ tea bags. Here is the super simple recipe.
Iced Chai Tea Latte
Ingredients:
chai-flavored tea bag
boiling water
sugar or agave nectar
whole milk
ice cubes
Directions:
1. Pour boiling water over your tea bag in a mug. Let sit for 15 minutes. (If you like your teas extra strong, use 2 tea bags.)
2. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour the steeped chai tea over the ice cubes. Add the sugar or agave nectar, according to taste. Add a splash of whole milk.
Drink up! If you’re looking for a refreshing and tasty way to stay hydrated this Summer, you should definitely try this drink!

I loved Chai tea lattes when I lived in Minnesota during the cold winters. I’ve never thought about trying it cold but it makes perfect sense. Now that I live in a warm climate we never have hot coffee always iced and chai isn’t that much different. Thanks for the reminder now I’ll have to try it. I always keep cold brewed coffee in the fridge for my husband so I bet I could also cold brew some chai for my self. Thank you for linking up to Great Idea Thursdays.

I love hot chai tea lattes, too! If you love the flavor of chai, you should definitely try an iced version. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. And what a great idea to try cold brewing it- very clever! Thanks so much for stopping by, Joybee!!
