October 3, 2015I’ve got another super simple Fall craft idea for you all today! You know those cylindrical glass vases they sell at the dollar store? Well, I have a fun way to upstyle them and make them so much more personalized and festive. This method also makes it totally effortless to change up the glass vase to suit the season. Oh, and if you want to recreate this leaf-inspired vase makeover for yourself, I provide the free printable below!
Here, take a look at the finished glass vase, wrapped in a leaf-inspired print!
Fall Craft Idea: Dollar Store Glass Vase Makeover
Supplies:
cylindrical glass vase
tall candle
1 sheet of transparency paper
1 sheet of parchment paper
Directions:
1. Print out the leaf printable here onto a sheet of parchment paper that has been cut to the size of printer paper (8.5″x11″).
2. Cut the parchment paper to the size of the vase and wrap it around the vase, with the printed side facing out. Secure with a strip of double-sided tape. Cut out the transparency paper to the size of the vase and wrap it around the vase, securing with tape again. (The parchment paper gives the vase a frosted glass look, while the transparency paper gives it a protective, glossy look.)
And that’s it! Wasn’t this one so easy?!
