DIY Happy Fall Wreath
August 31, 2015This easy wreath took very little time to make and I love how the little scarecrow is perched within the wreath frame! And notice also the adorable little banner of washi tape flags that spell “Happy Fall!” Of course you can customize that with any saying of your choice. A few other favorites would be “It’s Fall, Y’all” or “Happy Harvest!” So many possibilities.
For this project, I used a roll of solid orange washi tape that I bought online, but you can definitely find washi tape in a myriad of colors at any craft store. I also used some plastic glittered leaves that I picked up at Walmart!
Let’s get to the tutorial now, shall we?
DIY Happy Fall Wreath
Supplies:
straw wreath form
small scarecrow
solid orange washi tape
twine
plastic leaves
Directions:
1. Place strips of washi tape on the twine (spaced equally apart) and fold them over.
2. Cut out little “v-shapes” on the ends of the tape. Write your message on the strips of tape, placing one letter on each piece of tape.
3. Glue the scarecrow onto the bottom of the wreath form and glue the twine to the top of the wreath.
4. Add the leaves to cover the spots where the twine intersects the wreath.
Voila! Done!
