Homemade butternut squash puree

  • 1 butternut squash, chopped
  • water
  • dash of cinnamon
  1. Steam the squash until it is fork tender.
  2. Add the squash, cinnamon and 1/2 cup water to a food processor. Puree until the texture is appropriate for baby. Add more water if necessary.
  3. If you are going to leave it refrigerated, use it all within a few days. Otherwise, freeze the puree in an ice-cube tray. When the puree is all frozen, pop out the frozen squash cubes and store them in a sealed freezer bag labeled with the food & date of preparation.
