Easy Spring-Themed Dollar Store Wreaths
April 26, 2016You know me and wreaths! We go together so well! And there’s nothing I love more than sprucing up a wreath that can use a bit of sprucing up! 🙂
Today I’m going to show you such an easy way to dress up those brown grapevine wreaths you can find at the dollar store! I wanted to dress up a pair of closet doors in my home. Of course, I immediately thought of wreaths, but I didn’t want to head to the home decor store and spend an arm & a leg for a set of wreaths. I figured I could make my own and this way, I could customize it in any way I wanted! Perfect!
Here’s what I came up with:
Easy Spring-Themed Dollar Store Wreaths
Supplies:
grapevine wreath
yellow spray paint (I love this color!)
fresh (or faux) greenery clippings
hot glue & glue gun
1. Start with one of those brown grapevine wreaths! You can order them online or find them locally!
2. I spray painted the wreaths with my yellow spray paint! I love that it’s not a perfect coverage. I like that I can see the original brown peeking through.
3. Here are some clippings I clipped from the front yard! 🙂
I love the perks of having my own home!
4. I mostly tried to stuff little branches/twigs into the grapevine wreath and most of them held in place all by themselves. To give them a bit more holding power, I added a bit of hot glue around all the stems.
I simply slipped these wreaths over nails in the closet doors.
I love the way this project came out!
Those closet doors are officially spruced up! Mission accomplished! Happy Crafting, friends!
