  1. When using hair tools, try to stick with ceramic or ionic tools, which tend to reduce the amount of time required to dry / style the hair.
  2. Use products that are effective. Find styling products that work well with you hair and only apply the amount recommended on the bottle. Over-applying styling products will result in buildup and too much buildup will reduce shine.
  3. Apply conditioner liberally on hair during every shower. Once or twice a week, apply a deep conditioner on hair and let that sit for a while.
  4. Skip shampoo sometimes. Shampoo can sometimes be drying for the hair. Once in a while, skip the shampoo and go straight to the conditioner. This will result in shinier, more manageable locks.
  5. Use a cold water rinse. When in the shower, finish the shower with a blast of cold water to the hair. This helps to seal in the conditioner and improve shine.
  6. Use products that are gentle on the hair. For example, I love how the Goody Ouchless No Metal Hair Elastics provide a great hold but donโ€™t pull the hair at all.

  8. Use the Goody Clean Radiance brush. The new #CleanRadiance brush can be purchased from Walmart and it has really revolutionized the hair brush industry. With its fabulous copper bristles that not only massage the scalp but also reduce buildup, the Clean Radiance brush actually improves hair shine over time (results based on consumer usage and perception study).
