Did you know that you can whip together your own DIY Homemade Mod Podge? Using just a few ingredients and about 1 minute of mixing time? Yea, I know… I was blown away too.

Once you make your own homemade batch of Mod Podge a few times, you will see how easy it is and become a convert just like me! Why spend $5 on a new bottle when you can easily make your own batch for a fraction of the cost!

I debated whether I should dedicate a whole post to this, because the recipe is so darn easy, but then I realized that there are probably so many other crafters out there (like me) that could benefit from knowing this recipe. Making Mod Podge at home can save time and money over trekking to the store to pick up a new bottle every time you run out.

Ok, here’s the secret! Simply use regular white school glue as the base to form your DIY Homemade Mod Podge, or decoupage glue.

DIY Homemade Mod Podge

A good starting point is one part glue to one part water. If you like it thicker, use less water (or more glue). If you like it thinner, use more water (or less glue). Add the ingredients to a mason jar (or an old Mod Podge container) and shake it up!

There ya have it! Your very own Mod Podge – easy peasy! Cheaper and more convenient!
