Displaying a Christmas Village in Glasses
November 25, 2015In previous years, I used to simply place some of my Christmas village elements on a counter top or fireplace mantel. However, this year, I’m so excited to be displaying my little village in a fun, new way! Instead of simply placing them all at the same level on one surface, I am taking various elements and keeping them inside various glasses. This creates so much interest to the Christmas village! I’m loving the way this came together!
Displaying a Christmas Village in Glasses
The directions to put this together are super simple! You will not believe how easy this was! Here is the how-to!
1. Gather various clean glasses. Different sizes and heights work best.
2. Fill with salt- this will represent the “snow”!
3. Place some trees, figurines, lamp posts, etc. into the glasses.
Voila! How cute is this?!
I love the way this looks! I have it set up on my entryway table!

You never fail to amaze me with so many ideas and your wonderful talents. That is so blasted cute, never thought of using glasses, how smart of you. I love it. Maybe if I can’t find my cloches will use some glasses I never use otherwise. Why I still have them is anybody’s guess. Why we have wine glasses is mystery, we don’t drink wine. Duh. Time to purge maybe? i Have margarita glasses, rarely have margarita unless we go to Chili’s and that sure doesn’t happen often anymore.
So glad you shared this idea, it’s adorable and so merry looking.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Thanks! It’s a really simple idea that makes a big impact!
What a brilliant idea! I love miniatures especially if it’s for Christmas. And the lights reflect so well on the glasses. I can already feel Santa is coming to town.
Thanks Heart! This little display definitely adds a lot of Christmas charm to my entryway.
What a great idea! I love miniatures! I thought for sure it would be sugar, but salt makes more sense – no chance of ants or other critters wanting a bite!
Such a cute and easy-to-replicate decor idea for the holidays!! We may just have to go out and get supplies to make these little glass villages. Thanks for the inspiration!
Awww how tiny and cute your little village is. I would have never thought to display one like this. I think it looks elegant in the glasses.
Oh these are so cute and creative… and you’re not gonna waste the glass you can just wash it out and reuse it… super cool idea
This is truly a cute idea and these are easy to make too. I really love the use of the wine glasses and the lights just add to the beauty of the Christmas village. Thanks for sharing the idea.
And this is what I would call as being creative! I actually find it really cute, too!
What a cute holiday decorating idea! I could totally see myself doing something like this for my home’s decor.
Oh I love this idea! This is a great way to use my wine glasses when I’m not using them! Thanks for the idea!
I have never thought of doing this but absolutely love it! I will be displaying my village like that this year!

What an adorable, fun and creative idea! I’d never think to do something like this. It works and looks lovely!
This is a great way to display a Christmas Village if you don’t have a lot of room to do so!! Great post!!
Omg how cute are these?!?! My daughter and I so need to make some of these. Perfect holiday decoration idea!
Such a neat Christmas decoration. Makes me want to go shopping 😉
Oh this is just too cute! If my son wasn’t such a klutz, I’d definitely try this for my own tree, but right now I’d be too afraid of him breaking it. Pinning to my Christmas board!
Thanks for sharing this!
I totally love this idea!
