7 Home Decor Trends to Try This Fall
October 21, 2015I’m kind of obsessed with decorating my home! Whether I’m purchasing decor pieces from the store or DIY’ing a decorative accent, I’m always looking for ways to spruce up my space. Part of that process is making sure that my style stays current and fresh, so I love researching current home decor trends (Pinterest is my friend for this!) and making sure I implement some of my favorites into my home. And I’ve collected some of my favorite ideas below! Whether your thing is curtains or kitchens, I have seven amazing home trends to share with you all today- all perfect for Fall! Let’s get to it!
7 Home Decor Trends to Try This Fall
1. Jute Accents: Just because Fall is here, you don’t have to completely ditch the nautical look. Adding some jute rope accents to your curtain rods is an easy way to keep the beach-vibe alive all year long! via
2. Candles in the Fireplace: What’s more warm and inviting than a set of lit candles? Nothing, I say! If your fireplace is faux, or you just want to style it to look welcoming and cozy, stage it with a big grouping of candles! via
3. Vintage Art: If you ask me, vintage art is always in! Search for small, vintage prints and set up a quick gallery wall via
4. Color in the Kitchen: Cabinets don’t need to be white. Embrace your love for color by painting your kitchen cabinets a bright pop of color, like this gorgeous navy blue! via
5. Oversized Art: Nothing makes a statement quite like a piece of gorgeous, supersized art on the wall. This is a trend that is sure to last! via
6. Pale Driftwood: Regardless of your personal decor preferences, it’s hard to deny the rustic beauty that is evoked by pale driftwood accents. From fireplace mantels to ceiling beams, driftwood is definitely a lovely addition to any room. via
7. Succulents: I love the cuteness of succulents and with a faux set like this, you’ll never have to worry about them drying out or getting overwatered! My kind of plant! 😉 via
I absolutely love shopping for home decor accents but when you have a whole house to decorate, the costs can definitely add up! And I’m always looking for ways to save money and get my dollar to stretch further, so I’m happy I recently discovered ChameleonJohn. They offer valuable promo codes and coupons for Target (one of my favorite destinations for home decor) and so many other stores, too! I love using coupons because it means I’m saving money! And that means I can go out and buy even more cute things for the house! My favorite home decor trend for the Fall is probably the Pale Driftwood accents.
Now, tell me in the Comments: Which of these decor trends is your favorite?

I love all these decor trends. I never thought I would like navy for a cabinet color, but those cabinets rock! You’ve given me a few ideas for adding some trendiness to my home for the fall.
Navy is totally unexpected, but it really looks great on those cabinets, right?!
Thanks for visiting, Alli!
I’ve been trying to figure out ways to update my decor for fall and I’m going to use some of your tips. I need those fake succulents because I keep killing all of the ones I buy. Over watering I’m sure.
Terri, I’m in the same boat as you! They say it’s hard to kill succulents, but don’t challenge me! Ha! I think I’m overwatering them, too!
Love those candles in the fireplace. I have never tried that – but it looks lovely, very effective.
The candles make it so inviting, right?! I love that fireplace!
The painted cabinets look amazing. I never would have thought to do that. My kitchen needs some serious help, that is a possibility.
Cabinets with a bright pop of color can definitely take some guts, but I think the final result looks great!
I love the idea of updating with jute accessories. And the candles in the fireplace look so inviting.
Those jute accents look great, right?!
I could really use some oversized art in my home. I really like the idea of putting candles in the fireplace too.
The oversized art is a great look!! I’m looking to implement that one into my home soon!
I love decorating my home too, I’m a big fan of Candles, I just love them, especially ones that look super pretty too.
Decorating my home is one of my hobbies!! 🙂
I LOVE the painted cabinets. I was recently at ColorMix for Sherwin Williams and we specifically talked about unique colors for kitchens!
Yes, bright cabinets can be nerve-wracking to execute, but the final result is so pretty!
The Candles in the fireplace is an excellent idea. I also like using ropes for the curtains. It gives it a unique look.
Yes, the ropes on the curtain rods are a great way to keep the nautical look alive all year long.
I LOVE this fall decor trends. Candles in the Fireplace?! What a cute idea. I’ll definitely have to try that out <3
It’s a unique way to style a fireplace- that’s for sure!
I HAVE to do the candles in the fireplace!!! It would be so pretty!
Isn’t it a gorgeous & inviting look?!
I love the Jute accent idea – So nautical looking, and cute – Yet so simplistic! Also, loving the succulents. I’ve been seeing them all over too! I want some.
I’ve tried real succulents, and I’ve had mixed results. Some lasted a while, others didn’t. Now I’ll happily choose faux!
I would love to implement all the ideas but the vintage art gallery wall is very favorite and second driftwood beams. Love this post, always enjoy getting new ideas and nudges to fix up our old joint. Happy dazeto you and yours.
Thanks, JaneEllen! Yes, the vintage art wall is timeless, I believe!
I try to keep up with the current design trends but they just never look good in my home. I’m gonna have to break down and hire somebody to come in and decorate for me.
There’s no shame in that! Getting some help will definitely be worth it in the long run!
If I had a fireplace I would definitely try that candle in the fireplace look. I do like the driftwood accent pieces also!
I have an electric fireplace with a glass screen. I’m looking at it right now to see if I can get some candles to fit in there lol!
My favorite is definitely he candles in the fireplace. We just moved out of a house we were renting and because we were renters, the fireplace was off limits. I ended up covering it with a piece of furniture because it couldn’t be used, but candles would have been much prettier!
Yes, good point! The fireplace candles is an excellent option for renters!! 🙂
I love candles in fireplaces. I need some art in my house, besides my daughters. A big art piece would be amazing.
Agreed! Large art is amazing!
I love the rope hanging the curtains! I have never seen anything like that before, so cute!
I love jute accents too! So fun!
I am currently working on a gallery wall in my home. Thanks for the inspiration!!
