DIY Kid’s Dress-Up Station

I have done quite a few DIY projects around the house over the years. There’s something very satisfying about taking a space and transforming it to be better organized and more visually appealing. Today I’m going to share how we used a few QT Home Decor Modern Hook Racks to create a DIY Dress-Up Station in Charlotte’s room. Not only was this project super fun & simple, but it makes it easier for Charlotte to find what she’s looking for when it’s time to play dress-up! 

Charlotte has always enjoyed dressing up as her favorite princess characters but we used to store her princess dresses inside a big basket. This made it hard to find what she was looking for. Plus, the dresses became wrinkled so easily. Forget about finding a matching hair bow when everything was shoved into a basket! This Dress-Up Station was the perfect solution. I love that the Hook Racks come with a free mounting kit, which makes installation easy on any surface, including wood, brick, tile and more. I simply used a level to ensure that the anchors were installed at an even height. Once the anchors were in place, I simply positioned the hook rack accordingly and drove the screws into the holes. Easy peasy! I’m absolutely in love with the brushed stainless steel finish, which is elegant and durable. Also, note that screw covers are included for a professional, seamless appearance. 

On the top rack, I placed some of her favorite necklaces and hair bows. On the bottom rack, I displayed some of her favorite dresses. Isn’t this the perfect solution for a fun kid’s dress-up station?
