Creating Fog Bubbles & Other Creative Birthday Ideas

As a mom, I have thrown my fair share of birthday parties over the years. Every year, I try to improve my birthday party throwing game. Since hosting a fabulous party for kids is all about the fun & games, I’m always looking for new ways to entertain the little ones. When I was given the opportunity to check out Fobbles (a fog-filled bubble machine), I jumped at the chance! Everyone loves bubbles and fog-filled bubbles simply take the fun up a few notches!

The unit we received is the Fobbles F2: The Bubble Fogger. This cool 4-in-1 machine can create fog, haze, bubbles and fog-filled bubbles. I love that the patent-pending design is both portable and lightweight. The company behind Fobbles, Froggy’s Fog is currently running an Indiegogo campaign here to fund future improvements to their machines. By being an early investor, you can snag a beta Fobbles machine and impress the guests at your next party! The unit was super easy to use. After removing all packaging material and setting the unit on a flat surface, we added fog fluid & bubble solution to the machine.

We received these jumbo bottles of bubble solution & fog fluid. As a mom, I appreciate that the unit delivers water-based, non-toxic fog, haze, bubbles and fog-filled bubbles.

The main unit has three switches for different components: fan, bubbles, and fog. Depending on the settings combination of the three switches, the machine will create bubbles, fog, haze or fog bubbles.
- To create fog, turn on Fog Pump. Switch off Bubble Wand & Fan.
- To create haze, turn on Fan & Fog Pump. Switch off Bubble Wand.
- To create bubbles, turn on Bubble Wand & Fan. Switch off Fog Pump.
- To create fog bubbles, turn on Bubble Wand, Fan and Fog Pump
You can see the various switches in the image below. Once you have set the corresponding switches according to the desired output, simply switch the main power.

Wait a few minutes for the machine to warm up. Once the light on the line remote illuminates, the machine is ready to go. Turning the remote switch on activates the unit. The kids were sooo eager to get started!! 🙂

The unit is also compatible with a wireless controller and a timer for convenience! Perfect for parties!

The fog & haze were a lot of fun for the kids. Thanks to the 400W heater core, this machine creates a good amount of fog. The kids were definitely entertained by the fog & haze. I’ll be taking this machine out during Halloween season to create a spooky scene for sure!

Once we set up the bubble feature, the machine created hundreds of amazing bubbles. These were high-quality bubbles that didn’t pop too easily. Of course the kids had a blast chasing & popping them.

Oh, and when the wind blowed, our whole yard became filled with bubbles. It was really spectacular!

However, the coolest feature of this machine is definitely the creation of fog bubbles!

What are fog bubbles? These are large, opaque bubbles that are filled with fog! This machine is perfect for birthdays, weddings, dances, special events, theme parks and so much more.

Our yard literally looked like a magical land! The kids couldn’t get enough of these fog bubbles and I don’t blame them. These fog bubbles truly offered a level of fun like no other! This machine has even won awards. In 2017, Fobbles was awarded Best Debuting Product in the Special Effects category at the Live Design International Show.

When these fog bubbles pop, the fog escapes with a POOF! It’s a super cool effect that even the hubby & I enjoyed experiencing!

- Set up a candy bar that features one or two colors. Pick your daughter’s (or son’s) favorite colors and set up a table full of treats that are in that color family.

I had never heard of Fog Bubbles before but this looks like tons and tons of fun! I would love to try this out with my little one over the summer.

This is a great idea! I didn’t know fog bubbles existed. This is great for a kids party and even a summer get together. It might be a good substitution for fireworks!
