Staying on Track with my Health

Toward the end of last year, I had a leg injury that kept me out of the gym for over a month. Previously, I had been working out at least 4 times per week so this was definitely a tough adjustment for me. Now that my leg is on the mend, I am excited to get back into my workout routine, make smart diet choices and focus on my overall health. I recently picked up a few Nature Made® vitamins from Walmart and I’m very excited to incorporate these into my daily routine. And there’s a really exciting giveaway that I’m happy to share with you all, too!

Let me share with you all some other easy steps I’m taking to keep my health a priority. These are not difficult or complicated in any way. These are simple things anyone can do to improve their overall health!

  • Drink plenty of water. I try to keep a bottle of water next to me throughout the day. Whenever I get thirsty, it’s much easier to reach for the water rather than go looking for sweetened beverages.
  • Get adequate rest. I know this step can sometimes be easier said than done. However, even with two young kids at home, I manage to get about 8 hours of sleep at night. Since my kids tend to wake me up early to start the day, I try to go to bed earlier to make up for it.
  • Exercise regularly. It’s so important for overall health to maintain an active lifestyle. Doing aerobic exercise for at least 30 minutes per day most days of the week is best. However, even brisk walking a few times per day is better than nothing.
  • Eat fruits & vegetables. Try to add fruits & veggies to your recipes whenever possible. The extra vitamins, antioxidants and fiber are great for keeping the body in top shape.

The Nature Made® vitamins I picked up from Walmart are Vitamin C and Hair Skin Nails Complex. Let me tell you a bit more about each of these and why I’m excited to add these to my daily routine.

Nature Made® Vitamins

Did you know that Nature Made® is the #1 Pharmacist Recommended Letter Vitamin Brand in nine categories: Letter Vitamins, Omega-3/Fish Oil, Coenzyme Q10, Flax Seed Oil, Herbal Supplements, Cholesterol Management-Natural, Garlic, Diabetic Multivitamins and Mood Health Supplements (according to US News & World Report -Pharmacy Times Survey)? Nature Made® offers softgels, tablets, chewables, Adult Gummies and VitaMelts®. I have some trouble swallowing pills, so I love having such a wide variety of formulations available.

Vitamin C helps support the immune system.* What’s unique about Vitamin C is that it helps to provide antioxidants, which then neutral free radicals, to support the immune system.* Another function of Vitamin C is that it plays an important role in the synthesis of collagen, which is associated with healthy skin.* Vitamin C can be found in many fruits & veggies, but it needs to be consumed daily. *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

The other item I picked up is the Hair Skin Nail Complex. It features Biotin, which helps support healthy hair, skin and nails in people that may be biotin-deficient.* This formulation contains both Biotin and Vitamin C in a tablet that tastes wonderful and melts quickly. *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
