Make tropical mango & peach sorbet at home: low calorie version

January 5, 2012 2 By EngineerMommy

I love cold, sweet confections, so it’s no surprise I am a huge fan of ice cream, sorbet, gelato, etc… When I first got my Ninja system, I was so excited to try those homemade frozen treats you see on the infomercials, and this past weekend I finally got around to trying my hand at one. It was so delicious and so healthy! If only it wasn’t 30 degrees outside, I would be making a batch of this everyday.

Tropical mango & peach sorbet recipe

  • 1 cup frozen mangoes
  • 1 cup frozen peaches
  • 1.5 cups coconut milk (or use regular milk as an alternative)
  • 3 tbsp no-calorie sweetener (I use Splenda)
  1. Place the mangoes, peaches, milk, and sweetener in the high-powered food processor. I use the Ninja system.
  2. Scoop out the sorbet and enjoy!

I can’t wait to make regular batches of this stuff when summer rolls around!
