Inspiring ideas for fourth of july- DIY

June 16, 2012 0 By EngineerMommy

If you’re hosting a fourth of July gala this year, or even if you’re attending one and want to bring something unique and special, there are some great ideas out there for those who want to bring a little DIY flavor to the decor and food.

Anything red, white, and blue will tend to fit in on July 4, but so will most nautical-themed items. Making something yourself will allow you to generally customize the size, colors, and dimensions of the finished product. Plus, it’s fun being crafty! Especially if you can get the kids involved.

Here are some of my favorite ideas for a fourth of july party- DIY style

  1. Bring patriotism to the forefront with this adorable banner.- Glue gun crafts
  2. Dress for the occasion with this cute DIY apron.- Crazy little projects
  3. Paint plain shoes with a flag-theme for perfectly appropriate patriotic shoes.- Dream a litle bigger
  4. Impress your guests during the dessert round with this amazing flag cake.- Secret life of a chef’s wife
