I’ve always been fascinated by the science of nutrition, particularly how certain foods/supplements can be used to promote good health. In recent years, collagen supplementation has been gaining popularity thanks to its many health benefits. That’s why when BUBS Naturals offered to send me some of their Collagen Protein Powder, I was stoked. I used their Collagen Protein to make a colorful, nutritious Tropical Smoothie Bowl, which is a perfect solution for breakfast on busy mornings. BUBS Naturals also sent me their MCT Oil Powder, which I used to make an indulgent Matcha White Hot Chocolate- definitely one of my favorite beverages recently!

Let’s start with the recipe for my Tropical Smoothie Bowl. I love this recipe because it’s quick & easy to whip together. Start by gathering the ingredients required: 1 cup almond milk, ½ cup frozen mango, ½ cup pineapple cubes, 1 scoop BUBS Collagen Protein, and ice. Ever heard of collagen? It’s actually the most abundant protein in the human body. However, as we age, the body produces less and less collagen over time. Supplementing with collagen can help to boost your body’s collagen levels.

Simply add 1-2 scoops (20g) into your beverage: smoothies, coffees, teas, hot or cool water, etc. Some of the benefits of collagen include:

1. Improved digestive health: BUBS Naturals collagen reinforces the intestinal lining by sealing it with the amino acid, glutamine. This reduces the likelihood of toxins & other particles from entering the bloodstream. When toxins from the GI system enter the bloodstream, it’s known as gut permeability and this phenomenon has been associated with various inflammatory conditions.*

2. Stronger Hair, Skin and Nails: BUBS Naturals collagen helps to restore and hydrate the skin by improving the production of the body’s collagen & elastin.*

3. Lubricated joints: BUBS Naturals collagen increases synovial fluid production, which helps to keep joints mobile and lubricated.*

I put all the ingredients for my smoothie into the blender and processed them until fully combined. I also added some ice cubes for a thicker consistency.

The best part of any smoothie bowl? Decorating the top! I added chia seeds, banana slices, mini chocolate chips and shredded coconut. I really appreciate that BUBS Naturals Collagen increases the protein in my diet in such an easy way; in fact, it provides an impressive 18g of protein per serving. By the way, BUBS Collagen Protein is NSF for Sport Certified! Since this collagen dissolves easily and has no flavor of its own, your recipes can really shine!

I have been enjoying smoothie bowls like this one, made with BUBS Collagen Protein for breakfast recently. Not only is it easy to prepare, but it’s also a nutritional powerhouse. Are you following any special diets? Keep in mind that BUBS Collagen Protein is compatible with both the keto & paleo diets.

What’s more is that BUBS Naturals Collagen protein is free of gluten, dairy, soy, corn, GMO’s, and sugar. They’re single-sourced too! If you’re looking to step up your breakfast game, try a smoothie bowl like this!

Oh, and if you’re looking for convenience, BUBS Collagen Protein even comes in these adorable little packets. Perfect for on-the-go supplementation!

In addition to collagen, BUBS Naturals also sent me their MCT Oil Powder. This was my first time trying MCT Oil so I really had no idea what to expect. I have read up on the benefits of MCT (medium chain triglycerides, such as coconut oil) so I was excited to check out this powder formulation. I used MCT Oil Powder to whip up a Matcha White Hot Chocolate. The ingredients for this recipe include 1 cup milk, 1 scoop BUBS MCT Oil Powder, 1 tsp matcha green tea powder and 2 tbsp white chocolate chips.

Start by heating up the milk and white chocolate chips in a medium saucepan (for about 5 minutes) until the white chocolate chips are melted. Remove from the heat and add one serving each of MCT Oil Powder and matcha green tea powder.

Some whipped cream and an extra sprinkle of matcha powder on top make this a beautiful drink. We do eat (and drink) with our eyes first, am I right?!

Now that the weather is getting cooler outside, I really enjoy curling up on the chaise with a warm drink and just taking a few minutes for myself. This drink has been my go-to indulgence recently!

BUBS MCT Oil Powder dissolves easily in beverages (even cold ones) and it consists of 100% virgin coconut oil. BUBS MCT consists of 70% C-08 (also known as caprylic acid) and 30% C-10 (also known as capric acid.) Caprylic acid quickly converts into ketones after ingestion, providing instant energy.* Capric acid attacks yeast and fungi in the GI tract, promoting a healthy balance in the digestive system.* Other benefits of MCT Oil include increased mental clarity and reduced gut inflammation.*
