So my daughters absolutely LOVE play dough, and we love making homemade play dough all the time. This time, however, we tried to combine two of their favorite things (both messy by the way): play dough + glitter! If you mix in the glitter into the play dough, you get glittery play dough, which by the way, is twice as nice. My girls are fascinated by their glittery play dough and can squish it and squeeze it all day long!

Here’s the super simple recipe!

DIY Glitter play dough recipe

Ingredients:
1/4 cup salt
1 cup flour
1/4 cup water
food coloring
glitter

Directions:
1. Combine the salt and flour in a bowl.

2. Next, separate the mixture of flour & salt into multiple containers. Each color will need its own container, so we used three bowls to mix up three different colors.

3. Mix the water and food coloring together in a cup and add it to a bowl of the salt/flour mixture. Knead it together until smooth. Add more water if it’s too stiff; add more flour if it’s too sticky. Repeat for each color.

4. Gather your glitter supplies. Knead the glitter into each ball of play dough, mixing it in until homogeneous.
