How to Save Money on Designer Goods
August 18, 2017This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine alone.
Who hasn’t coveted that designer handbag or those fancy leather shoes? The cost of designer goods may be high, but there are many ways to save money on these purchases. From using a site like BeyondTag to using cash back credit cards, check out how you can snag great deals on brand name merchandise today!
How to Save Money on Designer Goods
1. Use cash back credit cards!
Many of us use credit cards every day for convenience. Did you know that there is another important reason to swipe that card at the store? Many credit cards offer cash back rewards as an incentive to their consumers to put purchases on credit. This means that for every dollar you spend, you will earn back a certain percentage back in cash (according to the specific rules of your card issuer). It is not uncommon to receive cash back rewards of 5%. This means that after spending $100 on clothing, you will earn another $5 in rewards. This may not seem like much at first, but the rewards do add up over time. I have redeemed my cash back rewards countless times over the past few years and I’m always amazed at how quickly they add up!
2. Shop BeyondTag!
To save a significant amount of money on designer goods, join a site like BeyondTag, which is a revolutionary new platform that gives consumers the power to name their own price! Yes, with price freedom, you can challenge the status quo and decide just how much you are willing to pay for that handbag! Don’t let the retailer dictate the price any longer!
I have been checking out the site for a few weeks and here are some things that make this site uniquely amazing:
- There is a wide selection of high-quality, brand-name merchandise.
- With no middle men, Beyond Tag is able to pass all the savings on to the consumer. That means more money in your pocket.
- Their dedication to customer service means they will ensure you are satisfied with your purchase.
- The company gives back to the community so you know you are doing business with a business that cares.
- You can get FREE shipping on all products right now while the site is in beta. Take advantage of this savings before it ends.
So what are you waiting for? Simply browse the available products or search for something specific. Once you have found something that you like, name your “Wish Price”. If accepted, you can have the product in your hands in 3-5 business days! Isn’t that fabulous!
To keep up with the latest news & promotions from BeyondTag, check them out on Facebook and Twitter.

3. Create a savings fund!
Just like a vacation or a new big-screen TV, purchasing designer goods can be a big expense. To lessen the blow of the purchase, create a savings fund just for that coveted new handbag. Set aside a certain dollar amount (or percentage) of your income each week and put it in a dedicated account (or even in a jar in your home). After a few months, check the total and see how much you have saved!
4. Shop the off-season!
Retailers always need to move merchandise. As the new season rolls around, they want to sell off last season’s merchandise. They do this by putting the older goods on clearance. Don’t be afraid of buying a swimsuit in October or a coat in June. Take advantage of the off-season deals and your wallet will be happy!
5. Swap with friends!
Another way of saving money on designer goods is to swap with friends. Create a network of girls that tend to collect designer goods and encourage regular meetings to swap goods among each other. It doesn’t have to be a permanent swap either- it’s always fun to mix and match the pieces every few months.
I hope these tips have inspired you to get better deals on designer goods. Now, I’d love to hear from you. How do you save money on the latest handbag or pair of shoes?

This is the first time I am hearing of Beyond Tag. Sounds like a cool site worth checking out. I like using sites like ThredUp. They have a nice selection of brand name items and I can send my items in for store credits or cash.

I don’t buy designer clothing very often. I will splurge, if it’s a good deal but otherwise, I will find a look a like cheaper. We shop Marshall and TJMaxx sometimes for name brand stuff cheaper.
I will definitely check the site for handbags. My birthday is fast approaching and I think a good handbag is a nice gift to give myself. 🙂
