Once the holiday season rolls around, I’m always trying to add some Christmas cheer to every corner of my home. Whether it’s the Christmas village by the window or the rustic Santa by the fireplace, I’m constantly seeking to incorporate the spirit of Christmas into my home decor. Today, I will show you how I transformed three Don Victor® Orange Blossom Comb Honey Globe Jars into a seasonal display that reads “JOY” – perfect for displaying in my kitchen during the season! Once the holiday season is over, I can open these jars of honey and enjoy the premium, rich taste of this gourmet honey.
“JOY” Jars: A DIY Christmas Craft
If you have a foodie in your life, these Don Victor® Orange Blossom Comb Honey Globe Jars make the perfect inexpensive gift! You can pair them with some tea bags and a cute mug to make an easy gift for teachers, neighbors, friends, etc. However, be sure to pick up a few of these jars – you will want one (or two) for yourself- this honey is that good!
Ready to find out how to make the “JOY” display? Here’s what you’ll need for this project:
- 3 Don Victor® Orange Blossom Comb Honey Globe Jars
- poster board
- alphabet stencils
- pair of scissors
- decorative holiday pick
- green washi tape
- hot glue gun
- decoupage medium
- chunky glitter
Have you ever seen the Don Victor® Orange Blossom Comb Honey Globe Jars? These beautiful glass jars are filled with raw, filtered honey. The honey is not heated or processed in any other way! What makes this honey product unique is that it comes with some real honeycomb inside!
See the honeycomb in there – it’s completely edible! This honey is ideal as an inexpensive, gourmet gift for anyone this holiday season. Buy a few jars- enjoy one yourself and gift the others to friends & family during the holiday season! No gift is as sweet as a Don Victor® Orange Blossom Comb Honey Globe Jar!
To make the festive “JOY” display, first use the alphabet stencils to outline & cut out three letters (j, o, y). Use a thick poster board so the letters are thick and durable.
Next brush on a thin layer of decoupage medium and sprinkle the chunky glitter on top of the letters. Let dry fully.
Use some hot glue to adhere one letter onto each of the jars.
Add a bit of hot glue to the top of each lid to attach one of the festive, colorful holiday bows.
Wrap some green washi tape around the circumference of the lids to give them a bit more uniformity! I absolutely love the way this project came out!
I can display these gorgeous jars on a shelf in my kitchen for the next month. Once the holiday season is over, I can open these jars and enjoy the decadence of this honey. The way I like to enjoy Don Victor® Orange Blossom Comb Honeyis simple. I drizzle some honey all over some hot buttered toast (or pancakes, biscuits, English muffins, etc.). I also like to add a small chunk of the comb honey to the center of my toast. The comb doesn’t melt, but it does become soft and totally delicious!
Remember, the comb is edible so this is such a fun, unique honey experience! Store the honey at room temperature, such as a kitchen counter or cabinet. If the honey crystallizes (natural process of the glucose molecules aligning into specific arrangements, or crystals), don’t worry. Simply place the glass jar in some warm water and stir until smooth again.
Look for Don Victor® Orange Blossom Comb Honey Globe Jars in the Hispanic aisle of your local Walmart store.
Have you ever tried the honeycomb in a jar of Don Victor® Orange Blossom Comb Honey? Do you plan on making any festive crafts for the holiday season?

Those jars are so pretty and perfect for repurposing with crafts. They would be nice in the craft room too. We keep honey in our pantry and use in in recipes so I’m going to look for this brand so I can have those jars!
