5 Easy Ways to Stay Healthy

Everyday life can be busy and hectic at times. It often seems like I am running around all day taking care of errands and it’s not until the evening that I have a moment to breathe. However, despite the hustle and bustle of the school year, I am committed to leading a healthy lifestyle. Today, I will be sharing some of my best tips on how I stay healthy every day, such as drinking enough water, taking my Nature Made® vitamins, and more!
5 Easy Ways to Stay Healthy
1. Exercise:
Staying active every day is something I am committed to. Whether that means I am heading to the gym for an hour on the treadmill or simply going for a brisk walk around the neighborhood, I try to exercise every day. Surprisingly, it doesn’t take much to be active every day. Instead of parking close to the store, I park farther away to force myself to walk a bit extra. Rather than taking the elevator, I opt for the stairs to get my heart rate up a bit.
2. Drink Water:
I have always been a big water drinker. Sometimes I will add some fruits or herbs to my water to give it a bit more flavor. I love adding some combination of lemons, limes, blueberries, raspberries, basil, and cucumber. I always carry a water bottle with me around the house to encourage myself to sip water throughout the day. When I leave the house, I also take my water bottle with me to make sure I stay hydrated.
3. Snack Smart:
For me, making smart snack choices during the day is so important to ensure that I stay on track with my overall health. That’s why I avoid buying junk food (chips, cookies, candy, etc.) from the supermarket. If it’s not in the house, then I won’t be tempted to eat it! However, just because I want to make smart snack choices doesn’t mean I don’t indulge in delicious, nutritious snacks. One of my favorite snacks is this Chia Chocolate Almond Milk Shake. It’s made with just a few ingredients: unsweetened almond milk, banana, cocoa powder, chia seeds and ice!
4. Get Enough Sleep:
There’s no doubt that we need enough sleep to function at optimal levels. Make sure you are making sleep a priority. Not sure how to get more sleep? Here are some tips that worked well for me. I put away all electronic devices in the late evening. By not looking at my computer, phone, tablet, etc. close to bedtime, I am giving a signal to my brain to wind down and relax. I also love the relaxing scent of lavender, so I spray some lavender on my pillow before bedtime. Finally, I try to go to sleep and wake up in the morning at the same time each day – even on weekends – to keep my Circadian rhythm on track.
5. Take Vitamins:
Taking my daily vitamins is another easy way that I make my health a priority! During a recent shopping trip to Walmart, I picked up three different Nature Made® products. Did you know that Nature Made® is the #1 Pharmacist Recommended brand for many key dietary supplement categories?*
One of the items I purchased was the Nature Made® Multivitamin for Her! I have trouble swallowing pills so this adult gummy formulation is perfect for me! I love that they feature all-natural flavors and are free of yeast, gluten and synthetic dyes.
The daily dose is 2 gummies. Each serving provides an impressive 60 mg of heart-healthy omega-3s EPA and DHA. The flavors include Lemon, Orange and Strawberry. With vitamins that are this great-tasting, I don’t forget to take my daily vitamin!
I also picked up Nature Made® Vitamin C VitaMelts. Each tablet contains 60mg Vitamin C and is offered in a delicious Juicy Orange flavor. The bottle has 130 tablets. Regardless of what you’re looking for, Nature Made® has a product that will fit your needs. Nature Made® has a variety of vitamins, minerals, and supplements (VMS) to help support nutritional gaps with your health goals in mind ranging from Digestive Support, Heart Health & Function, Energy Metabolism, Women’s Health and much more!†
The last item I purchased was the Nature Made® Multivitamin for my husband. I love that it is offered in VitaMelts formulation so it dissolves quickly in the mouth. It features 12 key vitamins and is offered in a delicious Tropical Fruit flavor. Nature Made® vitamins and supplements are an easy, convenient way to help your body get the nutritional support it needs every day, whether it be to support bone health, immune health or energy metabolism (helping convert food into energy).†
Another item I will be going back to purchase is the Nature Made® Probiotics! The Nature Made® Advanced Dual Action Probiotic has been clinically studied and provides dual support to both your small and large intestine for comprehensive coverage to help support digestive balance and healthy gut flora.† That’s something that I can appreciate! Look for Nature Made® Probiotics at a Walmart SuperCenter store near you.
