As a mom with two young kids in school/pre-school, illnesses are a regular occurrence around our house. It seems like once one of us catches a cold, it tends to spread to everyone else fairly quickly. Visiting the doctor’s office has always been a big hassle. Between finding an appointment time that’s convenient and dealing with traffic & wait times, visiting the doctor has always been such an inconvenience. However, I recently discovered Doctor On Demand and I’m so excited to have this online resource available to us for the future!
We recently had to visit the traditional doctor’s office due to a minor skin condition on my younger daughter. The only time available for an appointment also happened to be during my daughter’s nap time. Plus, my older one was home from school at that time. Needless to say, spending an hour in the waiting room with two young kids, one of which was over-tired and cranky, was not fun! I’m so happy I can turn to Doctor On Demand in the future to help with getting medical attention on my own schedule from the comfort of home!
I love that Doctor On Demand is the fastest way to see a doctor from home. With Doctor On Demand, you can get video visits with board-certified physicians and psychiatrists, as well as doctorate-level psychologists. Plus, you can use a smartphone, tablet or computer to connect to a doctor, so you can speak to a doctor even while you’re on-the-go! How convenient!
All you have to do is download the free Doctor On Demand app, list your symptoms, and you’ll be instantly connected via a video visit. Did you know that medical visits are just $40 or less? What’s even better is that Doctor On Demand is actually covered by many health plans. This means that your visit may be fully or partially covered by your health plan. You can find out your exact visit cost when you register!
With Doctor On Demand, you can speak to a doctor so quickly! What’s really spectacular about the system is that the average wait time to see a Doctor On Demand physician is just 3 minutes! That sure beats the wait time at the regular doctor’s office. Please note that Doctor On Demand physicians can diagnose and treat specific conditions like allergies & asthma, acne or other skin issues, and can even provide prescription refills!

I haven’t had a chance to try Doctor on Demand, but I love the idea. I hate sitting in the doctor’s waiting room – seemingly forever – to see the doc for a minor ailment.
We have actually tried this before and were very happy with our service. It is definitely a great alternative.
I know when I am sick, I hate going to the doctor’s office because it’s so draining. Doctor on Demand is a great service.
Wow, this could really change the life of someone that is handicapped. Or even someone that has trouble walking or with transportation.
I tried Doctor on Demand for the first time last month. My daughter had the stomach virus, you know the one that lasts 24 hours, it started in the middle of the night so of course her doctor wasn’t open and by the time it would be she would be almost better. Used Doctor on Demand and they were really great and awesome.
I love that there are options like this for people now. Sometimes the last thing you want to do when you feel sick is to go and sick in a doctors office.
I am so excited that technology has advanced to this point, it’s so much easier to get a quick answer and know if you should go to an ER Or a doctors office later on just by pressing a few buttons on your smartphone. So amazing.
I love this idea, because I would much rather visit a doctor at home than have to drive to the doctors office for sure. This helps alleviate unnecessary trips to the doctors too.
I hate when I have to take the kids to the doctors office!! What a great way to avoid all the germs in the waiting room!
This does sound really convenient. I can think of plenty of instances where this would be a better option than the office.
I love the idea of a doctor on demand and not having to leave my house. Much better than sitting in a crowded waiting area with tons of sick people for something minor.
that’s a pretty cool app, very convenient for families and affordable… I’ll have to check this out a little later, I tweeted it so I have it!
This is like the best thing ever. I’m sick of making doctor appointments, showing up on time then waiting in the lobby for 30 minutes. This would be all me all the time.
I have heard of apps like this but not this one specifically. This is something to look into a bit more.
It’s really a hassle setting up appointments and going on doctors visit especially if you have several to dos lined up too. It really helps that there are doctor on call services that can easily be available.
This is a great idea for minor illnesses. It can be hard dropping everything and sitting in the doctor’s office for hours waiting to be fitted in. Thanks for sharing.

This would have been amazing when my kids were smaller, I felt like I was always at the doctor with 3 kids. At least now when they get sick I can maybe deal with it from the comfort of our own home.
