Smart Tips for Raising Happy Kids
December 8, 2017This is a sponsored post written by me for MindKoo. All opinions are mine alone.
As a mom, seeing smiles on my kids’ faces is a feeling like no other. I actually try to give them something to smile about every single day. Today I’ll be sharing some easy tips (that anyone can do) to raise happy kids. From paying attention to their interests to encouraging play time every day, keep reading for all the details.
Spend quality time with them!
The hustle and bustle of everyday life can be overwhelming at times. We have to run to the bank, go to the supermarket, clean the house and more… but don’t forget to simply spend time with the kids doing something they enjoy. It could be coloring together and chatting. It could be listening to music together and dancing. It could be going on a nature walk and collecting treasures. It’s so important to make time every day to simply enjoy quality time with the kids – they really do appreciate it!
Pay attention to their interests!
Does your child love Hello Kitty? Is your kid a fan of anything related to superheroes? Pay attention to their interests and surprise them with unexpected little gifts. My daughter, Sophia, has been in love with cat ear headbands for a while now. She also loves playing educational games on my phone, so when I heard about the MindKoo Cat Ear Kids Headphones, I knew they would be a hit with her! They are actually a stylish gift for any kids this holiday season. I got them in the hot pink color (they’re also available in black, white, & light pink), which is always the right choice for my 6 year old daughter. Forget plain headphones or uncomfortable earbuds that always fall out… check out these adorable headphones that provide a great sound quality!
This patented design actually features LED lights on the earmuffs. The box comes with the headphones, a charging cable (it connects via USB to the computer), and an instruction manual.
I love that the headphones include controls on them for convenient control of settings. There are actually 4 light modes:
- Mode One: all lights on
- Mode Two: earmuffs light on
- Mode Three: cat ear’s light on
- Mode Four: all lights flashing
On one side, you can control the lights.
On the other side, you can easily control the power and the volume. By the way, notice the thick ear pads, which make for a very comfortable, secure listening experience. Also notice that the headband is fully adjustable so these headphones can fit my head or my 6-year-old daughter’s head comfortable without falling off.
I love that the battery lasts a long time. In fact, the battery will last for 5 hours of high-quality audio w/ glowing lights or 8 hours of audio-only fun.
Thanks to Bluetooth connection, you can enjoy wireless audio listening. You can connect it via Bluetooth to smartphones, tablets, PCs, game consoles, and more. By the way, when you’re done with them, they fod up esily so they’re perfect for on-the-go adventures. I can say that we will certainly be taking these with us on our next road trip. Let’s face it… just because the kids want to listen to cartoons during the whole ride doesn’t mean I want to. And with these headphones, I don’t have to. Sophia can listen to whatever kid’s show/movie/song she likes and I can enjoy some peace and quiet.
Even my 4 year old daughter can wear these comfortably.
Not only do these cat ear headphones look awesome, but they also provide excellent audio quality. I have high-end headphones myself and I was super impressed by the quality of the sound coming out of these babies. My daughter is absolutely smitten with me… and for good reason! Aren’t they super cool? Check them out today for listening to your favorite songs, enjoying the latest films, and playing exciting games wirelessly.

Get silly sometimes!
As adults, we can sometimes stay a bit too serious most of the time. However, kids love it when we get down to their level and act silly. I once got on the floor with them and moved around like a silly cat- the kids absolutely loved it so much. Then they acted like different animals and we all had a blast. Don’t be serious all time… have fun with the kids!
Encourage daily play time!
I fully believe in the importance of encouraging the kids to get outdoors and play every day. Sometimes when the weather is too cold, we might limit outdoor time to only 20 minutes. However, letting them get some fresh air and run around the lawn is a great way to keep them balanced and happy in the long run.
Be a role model for them!
Another way I encourage my kids to be happy is I serve as a role model for them. That is, I strive to be happy every day. Sure, I might have issues on my mind. I might even be stressed out some days. However, it’s always possible to find the silver lining and find something that is comforting. Sometimes it might be that decadent hot chocolate. Sometimes it might be a trip to the store that cheers me up. By being happy myself every day, I am certainly teaching my daughters to do the same.
Now that I’ve shared some tips with you, I’d love to hear your opinions. Which is your favorite tip? Do you know a child that would love those Cat Ear Headphones?
