Fall Wardrobe Essentials
November 8, 2017This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Top Tier Style. All opinions are mine alone.
Fall is definitely my favorite time of year. I love the crisp air, the pumpkin spice everywhere, and the wardrobe of the cooler months. Yes, I’m a fan of sweaters and scarves and all those cozy essentials of fall & winter. The generous folks at Top Tier Style recently gave me some credit to shop at their online store and I picked up some fall wardrobe essentials that will serve me well for the upcoming months – I can’t wait to share my picks with you!
1. Dress for the weather!
This fall, we are having temps in the 60’s and 70’s regularly, so I’m still keeping my short-sleeved shirts around! I’ve been totally obsessed with open-shoulder tops recently and this one from Top Tier Style does not disappoint. I love the royal blue color and the soft fabric.
2. Store essentials in style!
I don’t think I’ve ever left the house without a handbag. As a mom, I’m always packing a snack & drink for the kids PLUS my stuff (keys, wallet, phone, beauty bag, etc.) It can be a lot, so I love a spacious purse. This leather handbag is super roomy and features a beautiful light blue color (it’s also available in gold, gray, red, black and more). I love that it’s a solid color so it won’t compete with my accessories or clothing. It also has a super cute tassel – who doesn’t love a decorative tassel? I also picked up a stunning bracelet: this love knot bracelet. It’s offered in a few different finishes, but I chose the black finish – perfect for those chic winter outfits!
3. Opt for a warm jacket!
A great windbreaker jacket is essential for those blistery, gust-y fall / winter days. This one is super warm and even has a hood for rainy days. Isn’t this rich blue color irresistible? I love pairing it with a contrasting-color scarf and my favorite new pair of sunglasses.
4. Dress in layers!
On a colder day, it may be freezing outdoors but inside a restaurant or store, the heat may be really high. That’s why I always try to dress in layers! I am really loving this comfy sweater I picked up from Top Tier Style. This pale pink is flattering for many skin tones and goes well with so many outfits. There’s nothing better than cuddling up in a warm sweater with a mug of hot chocolate and a roaring fire. I love that this sweater features a high neck (almost a turtleneck) and a roomy hood, too.
5. Don’t forget the accessories!
I am all about the accessories. That’s why I’m loving this color-blocked scarf in beautiful neutral colors. It’s made of cashmere and comes in a number of different color combos. I can use this to keep my neck warm or simply to wrap it around my handbag handle for a decorative touch. I also picked up these shoes that feature a pebbled blue leather texture and decorative over-sized stitching! Versatile and stylish – now, that’s a WIN in my book!

I am ALL about the layers. Here in New England you never know what the weather is going to be like. You could wake up in 30 degree weather and it could end up in the 70’s later that day…
I love the coat in the first photo! If it would only get cold enough here in the south to wear some of this awesome wardrobe essentials, I’d be a happy camper. It was almost 80 yesterday.
We don’t really experience much of a fall in Florida, unfortunately. I do love your fall picks though for those states that do get that beautiful fall weather.
Yes it is all about the layers right now. Having great shoes and jacket really make it easy to head out.
I love all your wardrobe choices. I wear a lot of sweaters when it gets chilly–I get cold easily. I also have a warm jacket on hand just in case. I’m in Texas so it doesn’t really freeze that often.
You look great. I haven’t shopped there before but want to check it out now.
The entire ensemble looks nicely coordinated and elegant. My favourite one is the jacket though. I love the nice blue colour shad. So easy to match it with other accessories and clothes.
Yes that color is gorgeous in person. The pictures don’t do it justice.
Yay for fall weather and layers!
You gave some great tips. I love the fall and am excited about the transitional pieces for winter.
Layers are definitely essential for fall. I get cold easily so I always pile on lots of layers.
This time of the year you need to dress in layers. The day might start off cold and warm up bu the afternoon. I always make sure I have an extra jacket in the car.
Always go for comfortable styles, even I repeat clothes for work and for casual wear by wearing it comfortable is a plus..
The jacket is awesome! We had our first super cold day with wind and a little bit of rain! I wasn’t fully prepared!
With the unpredictable weather this year, it’s hard to be prepared!!
Fall is my favorite time to dress but we’ve had such crazy weather. AC was on a few days ago and now it’s 50 and rainy. Love a good sweater and scarf.
I am definitely a layers person when it comes to colder weather. You can make layers look super cute AND stay warm.
Thanks, Kita! It’s all about the layers around here! 🙂
I always to make it a point that I am still fashionable even though weather is sometimes unfathomable. So I prefer layering it out instead of wearing so thick clothes. I love the accessory and the shoe design!
I love the shoes! It is so pretty and it would be a refreshingly different look for me (I usually wear sneakers or trainers). The scarf is lovely too. Thanks for the fashion inspiration. I think I have to add more fall items to my closet.
