I spend plenty of time on my hair throughout a given week. Washing it, drying it, straightening it, curling it, styling it, treating it, etc. are just some of the things I do to my hair on a regular basis. As women, we want our hair to look its best. When our hair looks fabulous, then we look fabulous and feel fabulous. So today, I’m talking about some basic hair care tips to keep our hair looking healthy & radiant. From a simple cold water rinse trick to my experiences using the fabulous HASK Monoi Coconut Oil products, I’m covering it all today!
So, here are some easy steps to take to keep your hair looking healthy & fabulous all year long.
Smart Hair Care Tips
1. Stay away from too much heat! Avoid using too many heat styling tools. It’s okay if you want to use a flat iron or curling iron occasionally, but try to avoid using these types of tools on the hair every day. The excessive heat can damage the hair cuticle, making it dry & brittle.
2. Drink plenty of water. Especially during the Winter, when the air is extra dry, it’s important to remain hydrated. Drink enough water throughout the day to increase the moisture levels in your hair.
3. Use a cold water rinse in the shower. When done washing your hair in the shower, finish with a quick rinse of cold water. The cold water will close the cuticle, making the hair appear shinier.

Great tips. Heat is a killer for your hair if you use it all the time, and you need an excellent shampoo and conditioner to keep those locks healthy.

I agree heat can cause some serious damage! I try not to use any heat on my hair at all! My hair goes down to my butt, so I want it to look and feel as healthy as possible.

These are great smart hair care tips that I will be using. I have never tried Hask hair products before but they sound amazing. I indeed would love to go on a tropical vacation in the shower and use Hask Monoi Coconut Oil line of hair products.

Guess I”m lucky as I don’t use a blow dryer or any other kind of heat on my gray hair. I’ve been told by my hair stylist that my hair is very strong and soft. Its also very shiny as i do the cold water rinse before i turn off the water. I Have seen what a cold water rinse does for my hair. Another thing I do is use a different formula shampoo every time, rarely use same shampoo in a a row. It seems to keep my hair in good shape. I get my hair cut every 2 months.
Where would I find Hask Monoi Coconut Oil hair products? Would I have to send away for them? I live in western CO., few miles west of Grand Junction which tends to be little behind new ideas of anything. It would be really nice if I could find them somewhere in G.J.
