Giving Back to Schools
July 4, 2016There are a lot of lessons I try to teach my daughters on a daily basis: the importance of kindness, the importance of selflessness, the importance of compassion, and so much more. One of these important lessons I try to instill in my kids is the importance of giving back! With Box Tops for Education®, giving back to the schools in our community is easier than ever!
Giving back to the community can appear in many different forms.
- Volunteering at a local school or hospital is an easy way to show some support for the organizations in your community. Even a few hours per week is often enough to make a difference!
- Donating to charity is another beneficial way to help noble organizations fulfill their worthwhile missions. Even small donations can add up quickly!
- Participating in food drives is an effortless way to help out those less fortunate. Submitting just a few cans or non-perishable food items takes very little money & effort.
- One of the easiest ways I’ve found to give back to the community is by collecting Box Tops for Education®. Collecting these is a very easy way to give back to my community’s schools.
I simply looked around my kitchen and quickly found two products that had the box tops!
There are so many Reynolds® Consumer Products that qualify for this program, including Reynolds® Parchment Paper, Reynolds® Bakeware Pans, Reynolds® Oven Bags, Hefty® Strong Tall Kitchen Drawstring Trash Bags, Hefty® SteelSak® Trash Bags, Hefty® Easy Grip® Cups, Hefty® Style Plates, and so much more!
Not sure if the products in your kitchen qualify? Look for these iconic logos!
All you have to do is cut them out.
Did you know that each Box Top® is worth .10 cents?
I like to store mine in a clear, zippered plastic bag. After I’ve collected a bunch, I upload them to the site. I love how easy & convenient it is to submit them online!
By the way, you can earn 20 eBox Tops® ($2 value to a participating school) when you purchase any 2 Hefty® or Reynolds® Box Tops for Education® products between 7/1/16 and 8/31/16. Simply take a picture of your receipt and upload it via text or email to this website here. Please note that the receipt must show retailer name, date, time, receipt total, and qualifying purchases. Also, each receipt can only be submitted once.
I love that collecting eBoxTops® requires almost no extra effort. I buy these qualifying products anyway to keep my kitchen running and now I can submit the Box Tops® to keep my local schools running, too! My schools use the funds they receive to purchase books & other school supplies. I feel good about my Box Top® contributions every time I send my daughter off to school.
Look for Box Tops® on products in your kitchen and collect and be sure to submit them online. It’s an easy way to give back to your community’s schools.
By the way, there’s even an exciting “School Supplied” sweepstakes, along with a daily instant win game, going on right now! Reynolds® is giving away thousands of product prizes, in addition to 10,000 eBoxTops® to 5 lucky schools! How exciting! Be sure to enter today!

I have been collecting box tops for a long time and I love that you can turn them in allowing schools in your area allowing them to buy the things that they may need for the year.
Thanks, Dee! Yes it’s such an easy way to make a difference!
We always collect Box Tops for our local schools. It is a great way to give back without doing anything special or different.
We try to give back as much as possible. This is a wonderful way to do it.
I love the Box Tops for Education® program. I remember back when I was a kid, whatever classroom brought the most boxtops got a pizza party. My mom is a teacher and she taught me firsthand the important of a good education.
I think it’s such a great idea to do these box top things… I have yet to see them here in Canada but I think giving back to schools is so important! Education first!
I once helped out at local school during the summer. I helped buff and polish the floors.
It’s great that you can easily give back to schools like this! Glad you shared this information with us today!
