Bottle Stamping Craft & Smart Clean-up Tips
July 2, 2016This post was sponsored by P&G as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.
As a mom of two young kids, I’m always encouraging creativity and imagination! As a matter of fact, craft sessions are a regular occurrence around here! Today, I can’t wait to show you all how we used a few old soda bottles to create beautiful flower art! And since craft time always requires a big clean-up afterward, I will also show you how the right household essentials, such as Bounty Advanced, Gain Original and Mr. Clean Magic Eraser from Costco, make clean-up quick and easy! When it comes to these Procter & Gamble products, it’s the little details that make a big difference!
Bottle Stamping Craft & Smart Clean-up Tips
Here’s what you’ll need to get started with this craft:
a few empty soda bottles
acrylic paint on a paper plate
sheet of paper
paintbrush
First, start by dipping the bottom of the bottle in some paint.
Then, stamp the bottle onto a sheet of paper. Wiggle it a bit to make sure the paint transfers to the paper.
Remove the bottle and admire your work. Aren’t these little flower petals cute?
Repeat this process for other colors. Simply use multiple bottles or wash the bottom of the bottle between uses.
Now, take a bottle cap and dip that into some paint. Use the cap to stamp a perfect circle in the centers of each of the flowers!
We’re not looking for perfection here. We’re looking to have fun and encourage our little ones to be creative! Finally, use a small paintbrush to draw stems for each of the flowers.
Here’s the one that my 5-year-old was creating! This is a great activity for little kids. It’s easy, quick and a lot of fun! It’s also a great opportunity to teach little ones about the importance of recycling and repurposing things around the house!
Craft time always results in a big clean-up around here, but with the right products, I know I can always get everything back to a clean state fairly quickly!
I bought Bounty Advanced Paper Towels from Costco. Did you know that Bounty Advanced is Bounty’s most absorbent towel (compared to National Bounty Select-A-Size Towel)? I got a great deal on this paper towel at Costco- there are actually 12 rolls in this pack! They’re so absorbent and perfect for wiping up tabletop messes. Compared to National Bounty Original, Bounty Advanced offers stronger and more durable sheets when wet!
A few quick swipes using my favorite all-purpose cleaner and the Bounty Advanced Paper Towels makes this table look like new! I also really like that Bounty Advanced offers longer Select-A-Size sheets (compared to National Bounty Select-A-Size).
Bounty Advanced also offers more paper per inch (compared to National Bounty Original). By looking at the table now, you would never know what a mess was here just minutes ago!
Now that the table is clean, it’s time to turn my attention to that wall. Somehow my daughter thought it would be fun to add a little paint to the wall! When it comes to getting walls clean, I always turn to Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to reveal the clean underneath!
I love how well it removes crayons, paint and other craft supplies from my walls! To use it, I simply wet it, squeeze it, clean with it and then rinse it off. It’s actually quite fun to watch as Mr. Clean Magic Eraser quickly removes dirt from the wall with its water-activated MICRO SCRUBBERS!
Follow in the Mr.’s footsteps and easily erase tough messes from so many different surfaces! This pack from Costco actually features 11 pads: 5 Extra Durable ones and 6 Foaming Bath Scrubbers. It is a great value and will last me many months!
Of course, a messy craft session also results in messy clothing, but I knew this pink paint stain would be no match for Gain Original. I purchased this 225 fl oz bottle of Gain from Costco. It was a great value, offering 30% more (compared to the 170 oz bottle)! This detergent is safe for use in regular washing machines and high-efficiency washing machines!
The dispenser on this bottle makes it super easy to pour! I simply placed the bottle on its side with the valve down and pressed the red button to dispense detergent. To make the detergent dispense more quickly, simply twist the black cap. The directions on the back let you know exactly how much detergent to use based on the size of the load: medium load, large load, he full load, etc.
Here is the shirt after a spin through the machine with Gain Original! Perfect again! The Gain Original detergent really tackled this tough stain with ease!
Look for these and other P&G essentials at your local Costco store!
Now, learn more about these P&G products and tell me: How do you encourage your kids to explore their creative, artistic sides? Are you a member of Costco? On which surfaces do you love to use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser?
