10 Minute Daytime Glam Eyes

I love playing with makeup! I really should show you all a tour of my makeup stash, as it has grown a lot over the last few years. I’ve always enjoyed putting on makeup and I love all the makeup brands out there, everything from drugstore options to high-end luxury brands! Today, I’m going to show you a look I love to do during the daytime. It’s a fun, easy Daytime Smokey Eye. It’s not as dramatic as a Nighttime Smokey Eye, but it still is a beautiful look for so many occasions: a party, a lunch date with my husband, or even just running some errands around town!

In this tutorial, I’m going to show you all the products I’ve used to create this look and the exact steps required to achieve the final look!

10 Minute Daytime Glam Eyes

Products Required:
neutral eyeshadow palette
concealer palette
blending brush
precision brush
black mascara
black liquid eyeliner
brown cream eye shadow

Directions:
So here is the starting point. I already put on my foundation, concealer and powder but my eyes are bare here.

First, I placed an ivory color all over my lid from the lash line all the way to brow bone. Then, I placed a light brown color in the crease of my eyelids. And finally, I placed the dark brown cream eye shadow in the outer halves of my eyelids. You can see the three colors here in this shot. Since this is a daytime look, everything is muted and blended together nicely!

Next, I applied the liquid eyeliner only along the top lash line. Since this is a daytime look, there’s no cat-eye effect… the eyeliner ends right where the eye ends! And I also applied mascara only to the top lashes!
*PRO TIP: Apply mascara onto the lashes in quick, short strokes to minimize clumping. Also, wiggle the mascara wand ever so slightly as you apply it to help separate the lashes!

Finally, I used some of the concealer to brighten up the area right underneath my eyes and also along my brow bone. This helps to complete the look, make me look well-rested and showcase my eyes.
*PRO TIP: Use a yellow-based concealer to counterbalance any redness under the eyes!

This is such a fun, easy look for pretty much everyday- and especially when I want to look put-together at a special occasion!
