What Matters Most During the Holiday Season
December 11, 2015I have received information from the makers of TYLENOL®. The opinions stated are my own. This is a sponsored post.
During the holiday season, it can definitely be easy to lose track of what really matters. Once in a while, we all get caught up in the hustle and bustle of shopping for gifts, preparing holiday meals, cleaning the house for guests, wrapping all those gifts and so on. And although these things are fun, they do not define the true essence of the holiday season! It is important not to lose track of what matters most during the holidays, and what matters most is spending quality time with friends & family! The #HowWeFamily video is a beautiful compilation of beautiful moments celebrating what matters most: cherishing loved ones!
I recently came across this touching #HowWeFamily Video developed by the makers of TYLENOL® and I was quite moved by the video! I’m really so excited to share it with you here!
I love how the video depicts different families with various holiday traditions and celebrations. Celebrating the season does not look the same for everyone, and that’s absolutely what makes this video fabulous! Despite differences in religions, ethnicities, genders ages, etc., people from all over the country have one thing in common: the magic of the season brings us together! Seeing some of those beautiful memories in the video reminds me of how my husband & I announced my second pregnancy to our family! It was during a family Christmas party and we gifted our older daughter a hat that read “Best Big Sis Ever”. She was an only child at the time and it took her a few moments to realize what this gift really meant, but when she got it, her facial expression was truly priceless! She was so excited and I will never forget her reaction! Many of our other relatives found out about my pregnancy during that same party. It was a beautiful moment for our family. And every year around Christmas, I always look back fondly at how we made our big announcement that year!
One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is getting together with relatives! For Christmas, my family comes together in a big party, where we enjoy each other’s company and enjoy good food. We open gifts together, play games together and exchange stories & laughs. It’s one of my favorite aspects of the season!
Did you know it has been over 60 years that TYLENOL® has been committed to the well-being of families everywhere? Their #HowWeFamily video is a testament to the way in which people spend time together during the holidays! It’s not about who you love, but how you love! The video actually showcases 11 real American families and can be viewed by clicking here! I really encourage you to check out the video- it’s a beautiful compilation of joy, laughter, surprise & more and it brought plenty of happy tears to my eyes!
So, during this holiday season, amid the hustle and bustle of everyday life, make sure you stop and take some time to enjoy what really matters: celebrating the people you love in your own unique way!
Don’t forget to check out the #HowWeFamily video and tell me: how do you celebrate the people in your life during the holiday season?!
That was a great way to announce your pregnancy! We have so many family get-togethers during the Christmas holidays. Family plays such an important role in our Christmas traditions.
Yes, spending time with family is the best part of the Christmas season!
I didn’t realize that Tylenol has been around for 60 years. Very interesting.
I love the video. It gives me that warm fuzzy holiday feeling.
Yes that video is very touching!!
Holiday traditions are so personal and unique to every family. That said I love the video. Just so perfect for the season.
I love that video too!!
Hit the nail on the head-family really is the most important thing of the season. I spend the season with my actual blood-related family and with my chosen family. SO sweet.
Although we love time spent with friends and family, what matters most to us during the holidays is that we are celebrating the birth of Christ. Too many people lose track of what Christmas is actually celebrating.
It can definitely be easy to lose track of what really matters this time of year! Family is ALWAYS the most important thing <3
It certainly captures the warm and cozy feelings most of us feel this time of year. I liked the video a lot!
What a touching video. Love spending time with my family and my close friends that are like family. Especially at Christmas.
Loved the video, and loved your story too! The holidays are definitely an important time of year to come together with your loved ones.
How true, we sometimes get carried away with decirating, baking and presents that we forget the true meaning. With my family, we come together, go to church eat our Christmas lunch together then do our own thing
There is nothing better than being around the ones you love for the holidays. Such a neat video.
If we’re not careful, it’s easy to lose sight to what really matters the most. Thanks for this timely reminder!
What a fun way to announce your pregnancy with the people you love! I love spending time with friends and family during the holidays. Gifts are nice but just being together is what I love most!
Yes, the gifts are fun (especially for the kids lol), but spending time together is what I really look forward to!
How sweet! I found out I was pregnant with my first child during Christmas one year. Unfortunately, my ex would not let me tell anyone because he didn’t believe it. I would have loved to have made a special Christmas announcement.
Announcing my pregnancy in that way made it a really special moment for my immediate family and my extended family.
Finding out you were pregnant during Christmas must have also been so special and memorable!!
Family is definitely the most important thing! My mom was not very festive at Christmas so I am making it a point to do more for my kids now!
What a well made video – I love what it is trying to do. Family is so important especially this time of year.
Agree with the message of this. Love the message of that Tylenol video.
I love your video! What a wonderful pregnancy announcement. Thank you for sharing.
