The last time I was at the Dollar Tree, which (let’s be honest) was yesterday, I picked up this package of bird silhouettes. It’s just black construction paper cut out to look like black crows (I think that’s the type of bird) and the package comes with about 20 of them! I didn’t know what I would do with them when I bought them, but I knew they’d be good for something spooky for Halloween!

So I picked them up and came home and started thinking about all the ways I could incorporate it into my decor. First I thought of just placing them on the wall, but then I figured that would be too expected and not fun or interesting. So then I thought of a few other ideas and I came up with what I think looks totally spook-tacular and perfect for Halloween!

Halloween Decor: Stairway Bird Silhouettes

Here is the package I picked up from Dollar Tree.

For reference, here is what the stairs looked like beforehand. Please don’t mind the 2 year old photo-bombing!! 🙂

All I did was use a small strip of double-sided tape and adhere the birds to the risers (that’s the vertical surfaces) of the steps!

How easy was this? Probably my easiest DIY home decor idea ever! And so perfect for Halloween!
