Strawberry cranberry rice pudding recipe – low cal version!
July 3, 2014This berry flavored rice pudding recipe was a real winner over here at Casa MondoMom! It didn’t last in my house for more than a day or two. And I made a big batch… okay, a really big batch!
The hubby and both kids absolutely loved it. The texture, the flavors, the sweetness – it was perfect! I believe this recipe is going to go in my regular rotation of dessert recipes!
If you’re looking for an interesting twist on classic rice pudding, then look no further – this recipe is a lovely rendition on the traditional dessert!
{RECIPE} Strawberry cranberry rice pudding – low cal version!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups brown rice, cooked according to package directions
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds + more for sprinkling on top
- 3/4 cup vanilla almond milk
- 1/4 cup Strawberry Syrup(look for this in large supermarkets near the other flavored syrups)
Directions:
- Placed cooked brown rice in a bowl.
- Top with milk and syrup – stir together well.
- Mix in the cranberries and almonds.
- Serve in small tea cups & top with extra almonds.
