Spa water: basil-infused lemon water

Have you ever been to a spa and been served a refreshing water infused with fresh fruits and herbs? It’s nice, isn’t it?

Most people don’t realize just how simple it is to whip up a batch of this spa water themselves. In fact, it’s ridiculously easy. And the variations are endless.

Here I am sharing with you one of my favorite versions of spa water: the basil lemon water.

Ingredients:

  • 5 basil leaves
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • pitcher full of cold water

Directions:

  • Throw all ingredients in a pretty glass pitcher. Put in the refrigerator to chill.
  • Serve ice cold.

If you prefer, you can always sweeten this water with a homemade sugar syrup or a liquid steviasweetener.

To remain true to the original nature of spa water (healthy and refreshing), I opt not to sweeten my water. It’s tart and lovely on a warm summer day! Perfect thirst-quencher, if you ask me.
