Homemade cleaning products
August 19, 2014Forget the harsh, nasty chemicals – all you need for a clean, sanitized home are some natural cleaners you probably already have in your pantry! These homemade, all natural cleaning products are often just as effective as the store-bought cleaners. However, the homemade cleaners are generally cheaper, less toxic and more environmentally friendly.
This list is not exhaustive – there are many more uses to these items and many more ways to use these items to clean your home. Let’s get to the list now, shall we?
Homemade all-natural cleaning products
Distilled white vinegar:
- Dissolves dirt, soap scum and hard water deposits
- Cleans hardwood floors (in solution)
- Deodorizes naturally
- Softens fabric
Undiluted white vinegar:
- Deep cleans tougher stains of hard water or soap scum
- Cleans the inside of the toilet bowl
- Softens fabric
Baking soda:
- Naturally cleans most surfaces with abrasive action
Rubbing alcohol:
- Cleans windows, glass, chrome, ceramic tiles
It is not necessary to always mix different products together using complicated recipes. This list above shows that plain vinegar in a spray bottle is enough to tackle so many different cleaning tasks around the house. Baking soda and rubbing alcohol are two more items that you probably already have in your house and that can be used to deeply clean so many surfaces.
Happy Cleaning!
