DIY felt cannoli with printable template
May 7, 2014I’ve been on a felt food kick recently. I’ve made felt lollipops, felt cookies and felt cupcakes. Here is my next installment at felt treats- felt cannoli!
My DIY felt cannoli are pretty easy to pull together. I’ve even included a free printable template so it is a piece of cake for you to replicate. My little one is loving all these felt sweets I’ve been making. As usual, you can customize this little felt dessert to your liking. You can make it bigger or smaller. You can change the colors around as you like. It’s actually a lot of fun to personalize this one!
DIY felt cannoli tutorial
Supplies:
- Felt
- Scissors
- Hot glue & glue gun
- Needle & thread
Tutorial Steps:
- Cut out the shell shape. Fold it over in the middle.
- Use hot glue to secure.
- Cut out the icing shapes. Sew a running stitch lengthwise down the middle of the rectangle using white thread. Pull it taut until the rectangle looks like a ruffle. Insert into the openings of the cannoli shell. Secure with hot glue.
- Cut tiny triangles of chocolate felt (chocolate chips) and secure them to the white icing with a tiny dab of hot glue.
These are quite realistic-looking for felt desserts. They really make me want to head to the local Italian bakery to pick up some edible cannoli! 😉
