Dollar Store Christmas: Our Landing Area

This is the second post in the Dollar Store Christmas series. I firmly believe that it is possible to achieve a sophisticated elegant look by selectively mixing dollar store items with more expensive pieces.

Here is how we spruced up our landing area for Christmas using two simple dollar store buys.

First, we got these oversized, red and white candy canes. And we stuck them into our vase with brown and white twigs. See how the candy canes make this normally ordinary vase so much more festive!


Secondly, we found this oversized, frosty clear snowflake ornament. We simply hung it around our candle sconce and got instant Christmas charm!
