Top 3 Coolest Photo Editing Effects

I am always taking pictures… pictures of my kids at the beach, pictures at their graduations, pictures of funny moments throughout the day. I love keeping track of both special milestones and everyday moments with beautiful photographs. When I need to edit a photo or just generally spruce it up, I turn to Fotor. Top 3 Coolest Photo Editing Effects
1. Blur the background!
We took this picture of Sophia running toward the water at the beach a few days ago. We love this image and wanted to spruce it up a bit. One of my favorite ways to spruce up a picture is to blur the background and keep the star of the image in focus. This image is perfect for this effect, because most of the shot is sand and water, so it lends itself perfectly to the blurring effect.
I used the Tilt Shear Filter on Fotor to create this effect. There are two options to this filter: either a liner version (to highlight a rectangle shape in the shot) or a circular version (to highlight a round shape in the shot). I selected the linear version for this image. I also selected the Scene – Night effect for this image, which brightened the image significantly.

2. Transform into an artistic style!
We went to the zoo a few weeks ago and took an adorable up-close shot of a horse. I love the original version of this image, because it’s such a vibrant picture of a horse in its natural habitat. However, I knew I’d be able to spruce up the shot with some of the effects from Fotor. I used their GoArt- Artificial Intelligence photo effects, where you render photos to have the same style as famous paintings. The effect I selected is called Early Autumn and I’m truly in love with the final result. I can’t believe how stunning this effect is. Plus, it only took one click to create this gorgeous transformation.

3. Use beauty filters!
A few months ago, the kids and I went to a ceramic pottery painting class. The kids absolutely loved the experience and I have this cute pic of Charlotte & I. Another one of my favorite features at Fotor is their extensive Beauty effects. For this photo, I didn’t use any filters on Charlotte, but for me, I used the following Beauty effects:
- Smoothing (to remove wrinkles & blemishes)
- Blush (to add a bit more color to my cheeks)
- Eyeshadow (to create a bit of dimension to the eyes)
- Mascara (to more definition to my lashes)
- Lip Tint (to add more color to my lips)
- Teeth Whitening (to brighten my smile)

These are all great suggestions. Filters and effects are a ton of fun. I remember when you had to have effects done by a professional.

I use Fotor for my images as well. It’s a really nice program that is free which I love! I do want to try their paid version sometime though as there are SO MANY effects I can unlock!

Really nice photo editing effects. I only use one from my iPhone but I seldom use it though.
Those are great effects to use. I get frustrated when I take photos on the fly and then when I look at them later, they seem unusable. This would definitely help to be able to salvage some pics.

I’ve heard of Fotor before. I am a big fan of Adobe products, and use Photoshop on a daily basis. Pretty satisfied with the result but the application is slowing down my computer.
I love taking pictures as well, but I’ve never tried editing them on Fotor. Will check it out. Your edited photos look great!

Oh my goodness I love the burred background photo you did. It has such a fantastic impact and pulls emotion. I also love the artistic edit on the horse photo as it wasn’t in focus and chances are a photo I would have deleted but if it was the only one I had I would have been so sad about that. The edit saves it in a wonderful way and looks amazing!
