Create a cute hairstyle.
I don’t always go to the salon before events, but I still like to look polished and put-together. So that means I usually create some sort of hairstyle for my hair. The Braided Headband (shown below) is a really easy hairstyle that you can pull off in a matter of minutes, but it’s still totally pretty and perfect for a special occasion. Here are the step-by-step directions to create this style!

  1. Grab a small section of hair from the temple-area of the head.
  2. Form a tight braid on that section of hair. Secure the end with a tiny rubber band.
  3. Pull the hair around the top of the head and secure behind the other ear with a few bobby pins.

Here’s a picture showing the braided headband!

Apply makeup like a pro.
I love playing with makeup! It’s something I’ve done since I was a little girl and when it’s time to get ready for a big party, I always love to go all out: contouring, eyeliner, bronzer… the works! Here are some useful tips for applying makeup like a pro!

  • Apply two similar shades of blush to your cheeks. The extra color will add some depth to the skin and make it look more authentic. Make sure to apply the colors lightly, so it all looks natural!
  • I like to mix my foundation with some facial moisturizer to make the coverage a bit sheerer. It also creates a more flawlessly soft finish to the face.
  • Use a highlighting product in the inner corner of the eye and the brow bone to lighten up the eye area and look more rested.
  • Apply a bit of concealer to the lips before lipstick to make your lipstick last longer and look more vibrant.

A few days ago, my friend had her bachelerotte party at a local Italian restaurant with all our friends. I used all of the tips here in this post to get ready for this party! Here I am getting ready to join them for a fun-filled evening of good food and great laughs!
