Make your own soft homemade play dough

July 24, 2014 0 By EngineerMommy

After this recipe for speckled homemade play dough, I wanted to try to make one that wasn’t speckled at all, but rather soft, smooth and all one color.

Actually, the recipe for the speckled kind came about because I mixed in the food coloring after the dough was formed and it wasn’t possible to get the color to get mixed in homogenously at that point. The correct way of doing this is to add the food coloring to the liquid component before mixing it in with the dry ingredients.

This playdough recipe is actually edible, as it is made with food-grade ingredients only, but as always, it’s a good idea to supervise babies and young children during play.

Let’s get to the easy recipe, shall we?
