Use dollar store containers and baskets to organize your cabinets

The dollar store might be my favorite store for home organization and crafting supplies. But not all dollar stores are created equal. In particular, I hate the ones that use the word ‘dollar’ in their title, but then half the stuff in there is like $5. Anyway, I digress. The best dollar store I’ve ever been to is the Dollar Tree. They’re usually well-organized, have a HUGE variety of products, and everything is (you guessed it!) one dollar.

If you are lucky enough to have a good dollar store near you, scavenge their organization department for various containers and buckets. Get a few different styles (and colors) to suit your needs. Then come home, print labels to identify the contents inside, and corral the stuff in your cabinets into logical groupings. Put all the cereal bars in one basket. Yes, we buy a lot of cereal bars in this house! Store all the baking supplies together, all the toddler snacks together, all the soups together, all the sweeteners together, and so on.
