Tips for Getting Back Into Shape
March 16, 2016Toward the end of last year, I injured my leg and that kept me out of the gym for a few months. Now that my leg has (mostly) healed, I’ve been trying to lose some of the extra weight I put on and trying to get back into shape. So today, I’ll be sharing with you all some smart tips to lose some weight, follow a healthy lifestyle and even how to target those areas with stubborn fat. I’m particularly excited about SculpSure, which is a noninvasive body contouring program that can make a big difference in one’s overall shape. Let’s get to our list now, shall we?
Here are some easy steps I’m taking to get back into shape.
Getting Back Into Shape
Make wise food choices: I’ve been sticking to a diet that minimizes starches, added sugars and animal fat from meat & dairy foods. I’ve been focusing on fruits, vegetables, egg whites, lean meat, fish and nonfat dairy foods. I also find that eating plenty of vegetables will provide fiber, antioxidants & vitamins and helps me feel full longer.
Drink enough water: Sometimes I’ll reach for a snack when I’m really just thirsty. So I make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep false cravings to a minimum.
Avoid junk foods: If I have cookies and chips in the house, then I am much more likely to want to grab something like that as a snack. So I make the decision at the supermarket not to purchase junk foods.
Ditch boredom: Did you know that sometimes the reason we reach for a snack is out of boredom? I try to avoid boredom by keeping busy with a hobby or other activity. Even better? I go for a walk if I need something to do!
Focus on cardio: Cardio burns the most calories so I focus on cardio for weight loss. I aim to do aerobic exercise at least 4-5 times per week. Also, I will occasionally add in some strength training activities. I love using a jump rope to get the heart rate up indoors when it’s too cold to go outside.
Do interval training: It’s a great way to increase the intensity of workouts. By adding in short bursts of high-intensity exercise, I can burn more calories in less time.
Try SculpSure: Do you notice areas of your body with stubborn pockets of fat that don’t respond to traditional exercise? (raises hand) SculpSure is a noninvasive treatment that reduces stubborn fat in areas such as the abdomen and love handles without surgery or downtime. It only takes 25 minutes to do one procedure- I love that it’s a quick, convenient experience.
Did you know that SculpSure is the world’s first FDA-cleared laser treatment for non-invasive lipolysis of the flanks and abdomen? SculpSure is perfect for individuals with stubborn spots that don’t seem to respond to traditional diet & exercise. Results are evident as early as 6 weeks post-treatment, but maximum results are evident after 12 weeks. You can search for a doctor near you that can evaluate whether you are a good candidate for SculpSure.
I can’t wait to get back into my skinny jeans – you know, those jeans that I’ll be able to fit into again once I lose another 10 pounds! If those skinny jeans could talk, they’d say “Jennifer, lose some more weight, so you can wear me again!” Do you have a pair of skinny jeans – or another article of clothing – that you’re waiting to wear once you lose some more weight? What would your clothes say to you if they could talk?
Learn more about how SculpSure can help you get rid of those stubborn fat areas and tell me: What are your tips for losing weight? Have you ever tried a body contouring treatment?

It’s really important to have the right diet and sufficient hydration to be fit. You should also balance your cardio workouts with the more intense and high quality intervals.
