Kitchen countertops: a workhorse of the kitchen. They sure do take a beating every day and if not cleaned properly on a regular basis, they will show wear & tear. To keep your countertops looking their best, make sure you clean them using an appropriate cleaner (at least) once a day.

Cleaning Acrylic Countertops: Rub down with dishwashing liquid and warm soapy water. Follow up with some vinegar for its disinfectant properties.

Cleaning Ceramic Tile Countertops: Hand dishwashing liquid is the best solution. Use vinegar sparingly on tiled surfaces, as the vinegar can eat up the grout. Another option is to use a paste of baking soda and lemon juice – this is a great solution to remove stains!

Cleaning Wood Countertops: Wood can be cleaned with vinegar occasionally – the vinegar can strip the wood if applied too often. A good, everyday cleaner is just a simple all-purpose cleaner, like dishwashing liquid. To polish the wood, use some olive oil mixed with a few drops of essential oil (I like oil of lemon) and your wood floors will shine!

Cleaning Marble Countertops: As it is extremely porous, it’s important never to use vinegar on marble countertops. Warm, soapy water is all that is necessary to keep your marble counters in tip-top shape.

Cleaning Concrete Countertops: Concrete counters are gaining popularity these days. Some dishwashing liquid on a soft cloth will wipe away all dirt and debris on your concrete counters.

Cleaning Corian Countertops: Some dishwashing liquid squirted on a sponge will keep your Corian counters sparkling clean.

Cleaning Granite Countertops: As it is very porous, granite countertops cannot be cleaned with vinegar or any products containing vinegar. Granite counters can be cleaned with a simple soapy water solution and a soft cotton cloth.
