As a mom of two young kids, I really value my sleep. Getting enough of high-quality sleep nowadays is not always a given, so I really try to create an environment that promotes good rest at night. Today, I’ll be sharing with you some of my bedtime essentials, which help to create a good night’s sleep.
Top 7 Bedtime Essentials
1. Cozy Pajamas!
For me, a great set of comfy, cozy pajamas is so crucial. There is nothing like slipping into warm, cozy pajamas during the winter or a pair of loose, silky pajamas during the summer. Along with a great set of pajamas, I love a great pair of slippers to keep my feet toasty warm throughout the evening.
2. A Great Read!
Experts agree that using electronic devices before bed can be detrimental to one’s overall sleep quantity and quality. That’s why I choose to read a book in the evening before bedtime. I always have a great book (or two or three) by my bedside table. Sometimes I’ll choose fiction, but I generally prefer self-help books about business or health.
3. Good Morning Snore Solution!
Snoring disrupts everyone’s sleep, whether you’re the snorer or your partner is the snorer. Good Morning Snore Solution is a clinically proven anti-snore mouthpiece. While I don’t snore, my husband snores… loudly every night! It has definitely interrupted my sleep in the past. We have recently tried the Good Morning Snore Solution and we love how it’s working for us!
Good Morning Snore Solution is fully tested and scientifically proven to provide a snore-free night. What I love about this snoring solution is that it’s the safest, least invasive method that’s effective at preventing snoring. This product has actually been medically tested by the FDA, Health Canada, EEA and ARTG. I always feel more confident about a product that has been clinically tested by multiple health organizations.
Unlike other mouthpieces, you don’t need to be personally sized for the Good Morning Snore Solution. It’s a one-size-fits-most and designed to accommodate most people without any modifications. That’s convenience I appreciate!
By the way, my husband also tells me that the mouthpiece is totally comfortable.
The mouthpiece is soft and flexible. It helps stop snoring quickly and safely. How does it work? It uses the Tongue Displacement method to gently open the entire airway with few side effects. Tongue Displacement does not generally cause jaw pain, user discomfort or long-term bite misalignment.
It even comes with a cute case to keep the mouthpiece clean when not in use.
4. Lavender Linen Spray!
The scent of lavender is very relaxing to me so I like to spray a light lavender spray on my bedding in the evening. The calming scent trains my brain to wind down for the night and encourages a sense of calm.
5. A suitable mattress!
When it comes to a great night’s sleep, a comfortable mattress is one of the top priorities. Whether a softer one or a firmer one is better depends on personal needs/preferences. Be sure to visit your local mattress retailer and “try on” various different models. See which one feels more comfortable for you. Remember that we spend about 1/3 of our life (8 hours out of every 24 hours) in bed, so this is not a place to skimp.
6. The right temperature!
Did you know that cooler temperatures promote sleep more than warmer temperatures? During the spring & fall, consider opening the windows in the evening to lower the temperature a bit. During the summer, consider placing a fan in your bedroom to improve circulation and make it feel cooler.
7. A glass of water!
This might seem silly at first glance, but having a glass of water by your bed is a very smart idea. A typical night consists of eight hours asleep. You may wake up to use the bathroom or you may wake up because you’re thirsty. Keeping water nearby will prevent you from needing to trek all the way to the kitchen. I know if I have to get up and walk across the house, put on lights and fill up a cup, all that activity could take me out of a restful state. That’s why I always keep my water by my bedside.

My husband and I invested in a nice mattress many years ago, and it has been one of the best things that we ever purchased. The mattress really does make a difference. I would do the same thing again whenever we need a new one.
Hmm, the best tip I have for a good night sleep is to leave all electronics downstairs.
Too easy to “just spend 5 minutes on Pinterest” and loose hours of sleep.
We also have a fan on, it helps keep the room cool and the background noise helps drown out the noise outside the house.
These are some great bedtime essentials, I do use the lavender spray and I have many cold water bottles at my bedside. What I don’t have is good morning snore solution, I need that for hubby! LOL!
My husband also snores I’ve never heard of the product you mention, but I certainly might give it a shot if he’ll use it! I’m going to be in the market for a new mattress very soon too. Ours is pushing 9 years old I think!
Great tips. We use pillow spray that helps us both settle down and get into a deep sleep. I will make sure to use some of these other tips because goodness knows I Need more sleep!

I think I need to try that lavender linen spray! Cozy pajamas and the right temperature are vital for me. However, I have never been a good sleeper.
Lavender is such a good scent to have when you want a relaxing sleep. I do read books when I want to unwind before bed. But lately, I can’t stay away from the news, so I do have a Kindle by my side at night.
This is a perfect list of must have bedtime essentials. We both snore so that little gadget might allow us better sleep. I do need to take a glass of water to bed but I always forget.
