Are you hosting any Big Game parties this year? Here are some of my best tips:
Variety of Beverages: Everyone loves choices. When it comes to drinks for a party, be sure to add a variety of drink options to the table, including iced teas, lemonades, waters, and more!
Comfy Pillows & Throws: There’s something so fun about cuddling with a comfy, cozy throw to watch the Big Game! Offer a variety of throws & pillows for your guests to cuddle with. It’s a small gesture that makes a big impact.
Personalized Gear: Who’s your favorite football team? Use their colors to decorate your space for the day. Add the team’s signature colors to your table cover, plates, napkins, etc.
Delicious Snacks: No football party is complete without delicious, satisfying snacks. Speaking of tasty snacks, today I am going to share with you the recipe for some Spicy Turkey Chili Bread Bowls. To prepare this recipe, I started by gathering my ingredients: LA MORENA® Whole Jalapeños – 28 oz can, LA MORENA® Chipotle Peppers in Adobo – 7 oz can, ground turkey, round rolls, garlic, onion, spices, tomato sauce, and beans. Print the detailed recipe at the bottom of the post.
First, I browned the onion and garlic in some olive oil in a medium stock pot.
Next, I added the ground turkey. I continued cooking it until it was browned and cooked throughout.
I also added the tomato sauce and black beans at this time. Next, it was time to add the spices (oregano, paprika, cumin) to the pot.
It’s now time to kick the flavor up a notch. I grabbed LA MORENA® Whole Jalapeños & LA MORENA® Chipotle Peppers in Adobo and diced them.
Next, I added them to the chili. We like our chili extra spicy, but if you like it a bit milder, just use fewer jalapeño & chipotle peppers.
While the chili continued to cook, I decided it was time to prep the bread bowls. I scooped the inside out of some round rolls. I placed them in the oven (under the broil) for just a few minutes. You could also use a toaster for this step.
When the rolls came out of the oven, they were a lovely medium brown. By toasting these rolls, they will be better able to hold the chili.
Now, I scooped some chili into a bread bowl. I topped it with some shredded cheese, which melted almost right away.
I finally topped each bowl with some sliced scallions. This Spicy Turkey Chili Bread Bowl is sure to get everyone revved up for the Big Game!
This was such a quick, easy recipe that’s perfect for all those football game gatherings. I love that LA MORENA® products add such an authentic, delicious flavor to this recipe. It’s a brand that consumers have always trusted!
Each bite was full of flavor. LA MORENA® has been offering the highest quality products with the taste of the authentic Mexican recipes for over 35 years.
I made this at a recent party I hosted and it was a big hit. Everyone really loved the combination of crispy bread and spicy, cheesy chili. Don’t forget that after you finish the chili, you can eat the bread bowl!
Look for LA MORENA® products at your local Walmart store in the Hispanic foods aisle.
