One of my favorite aspects of having a large dining room is being able to host family & friends over for holiday parties. This year, I will be having a number of celebrations at our house so I am always on the lookout for meal options that are suitable for all my guests. Today I am sharing my own spin on one of my favorite meals from my childhood: stuffed peppers. Today’s recipe for Quick & Easy Stuffed Peppers features a delicious combination of MorningStar Farms® Grillers® Crumbles™, along with parmesan cheese, tomato sauce and Italian-seasoned bread crumbs. Perfect for all those holiday gatherings, these Stuffed peppers are sure to impress a crowd!

A number of a family members have restricted dietary needs, so I love choosing recipes that are suitable for many people and my version of Stuffed Peppers is vegetarian. However, keep in mind that MorningStar Farms® products are not only for vegetarians – they are for everyone! They’re delicious, flavorful and convenient. This recipe for Stuffed Peppers is quick and easy to make and I love that it’s the perfect entree for so many of my upcoming gatherings: Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year’s Eve.
I have been trying to focus on a plant-based diet recently as the health benefits of fruits & vegetables have been well-documented. However, when one is limiting meat, it’s important to find ways to consume enough protein. With MorningStar Farms® products, getting adequate protein is easy. During a recent trip to Walmart, I picked up two of my family’s favorite MorningStar Farms® products: the Grillers® Crumbles™ and the Steak Strips.
Ready to start making the stuffed peppers? First, gather the ingredients: MorningStar Farms® Grillers® Crumbles™, bread crumbs, tomato sauce, parsley, parmesan cheese, and green peppers. I love that the MorningStar Farms® Grillers® Crumbles™ are so versatile and can be used in so many different recipes. From a sloppy joe to a lasagna to a vegetarian chili, this product can easily add a boost of flavor & protein to many of my family’s favorite meals.
Saute some olive oil, garlic and onion over medium heat. Add the MorningStar Farms® Grillers® Crumbles™ and cook for ~5-7 minutes until browned.
Meanwhile, cut the top stem off the green peppers and scoop out any remaining pepper flesh & seeds.
Add the cooked MorningStar Farms® Grillers® Crumbles™ to a medium mixing bowl and add breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, parsley, and tomato sauce.
Combine to mix well. If you prefer your mixture a bit moister, add more tomato sauce.
Use a spoon to fill the hollow green peppers with the mixture. Top with another teaspoonful of tomato sauce and a small sprinkle of extra cheese.
Bake for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees F until the cheese is melted and the peppers are slightly soft.

- 1 package MorningStar Farms® Grillers® Crumbles™
- 2/3 cup parmesan cheese
- 2/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 4 green bell peppers
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 medium white onion, diced
- 1. In a saucepan over medium heat, add the olive oil, garlic and onion. Cook for ~2 minutes.
- 2. Add the MorningStar Farms® Grillers® Crumbles™ and cook for another 5 minutes, or until browned.
- 3. In a medium mixing bowl, add the MorningStar Farms® Grillers® Crumbles™, tomato sauce, breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese. Combine well.
- 4. Cut off the tops of the peppers and use a spoon to add the filling inside the peppers.
- 5. Top with a bit more tomato sauce and cheese.
- 6. Place the peppers in a 350 degree F oven for about 20 minutes.
- I prefer the peppers to retain some crunch. For softer peppers, bake for an additional 20 minutes.
