When dinnertime rolls around, I’m usually looking for meal solutions that are quick, easy and delicious! Today, I’ll show you one of my favorite dinners: shrimp & brussels sprouts over rice. I love this meal, because it’s something that I can whip together in almost no time. Here’s a sneak peek at the meal!
Shrimp & Brussels Sprouts over Rice
The first thing I like to do is get my rice prepped. I recently discovered Veetee Dine In Rice and I absolutely love the convenience & great taste of this rice. This rice is ready to enjoy after just two minutes in the microwave. Isn’t that amazing?!
One thing I’ve always disliked about rice is how long it takes to prepare it the traditional way. With Veetee Dine In Rice, I can simply pop one of these trays into the microwave and enjoy fluffy, moist rice in mere minutes. I also love that it’s free of gluten and artificial preservatives. Each convenient tray comes with two servings of rice. I tried both the Basmati Rice & the Chicken Flavour Rice and they were both wonderfully delicious!
For quick dinners, my favorite protein to use is shrimp. I can grill it on the stove top in minutes and I really enjoy the flavor of blackened shrimp.
To complement my rice and shrimp, I love some brussels sprouts. I get a microwaveable bag of this stuff so it’s also a really quick component to put together. With a bit of olive oil & garlic, this veggie is super tasty!
I love how quick, wholesome and delicious this meal is!
Each bite is full of flavor!
Whenever I’m at the supermarket, I like to stock up on Veetee Dine In Rice, because it has a 12 month shelf life and the convenience cannot be beat! Want to try some of this delicious Veetee Dine In Rice? Look for this product at your local Walmart, Wegman’s & ShopRite stores.

I too love soups, so filling healthy and what the whole family needs on a cold winters day. Great post I will defiantly be trying some!
this looks so delicious! My husband hates eggs, so I never make Frittata’s which is a shame. Have you tried freezing this or something similar. I’m thinking for my breakfast or lunch, I could make ahead. Let me know, much appreciated!
I make something very similar and freeze it. The trick is to reheat it in the oven and not the microwave (which makes it weird and soggy).
I think the size of chicken breasts has changed dramatically since Julia Child’s day, which could account for some of her shorter cook time.
Love this soup. I use half the flour and it turned out perfectly for our preference. Thanks for the recipe. Everyone at my party loved it and ive made it twice since then. Frozen chicken is perfect for this recipe at four hours on high.
I recently make a turkey meatball recipe that used Amy’s chunky tomato bisque for the sauce and I put it over spaghetti squash, you could also make the recipe using lot’s of different farmers market veggies.
I was just wondering what to make for dinner tomorrow night…problem solved….the clincher was the cut up carrots….I had just cleaned out my pantry and found a can of pinto beans and one of white beans..so was a no–brainer…but I like the idea of the carrots…also the olives…never have used it in chili before, so will be a new experience.
Thanks for the tip on draining ground beef. That’s the part I hate about cooking bulk amounts of ground beef and I never thought of lining a bowl to catch the grease.
Those meatballs sound so delicious!! White chicken chili sounds good, too. It’s funny how the week that I can’t meal plan (due to traveling) I’m itching to do so!!
