Energizing Mocha Brownie Shake

Earlier this year, I made a commitment to lead an active lifestyle! I’m striving to make smart food choices and get some exercise in on most days of the week! However, everyday life is very busy and I don’t always have time for marathon sessions in the kitchen. I generally stick to recipes that are quick & convenient! In order to fuel my active lifestyle, I love enjoying the new Pure Protein Plus Bars. Since my mornings could always use a little energy boost, I’m going to share with you today my favorite shake that’s nutritious and energizing! This Energizing Mocha Brownie shake will surely get you out of bed in the morning! This shake contains plenty of protein so it helps to keep me on track! Energizing Mocha Brownie Shake

Here are the ingredients you’ll need: brewed coffee, 1 Pure Protein Plus Bar in Mocha Brownie, vanilla almond milk, nonfat yogurt, cocoa powder, and cinnamon powder. You can optionally also include whipped cream & chocolate shavings, for garnish.
Add all these ingredients into a high-powered food processor.
Process until smooth.
Pour into a glass and top with some whipped cream.
To create gorgeous chocolate curls, simply use a peeler on a piece of chocolate.

All of the new Pure Protein Plus Bars are nutritious and flavorful. They have an impressive amount of protein (20-21 grams) and a sizable amount of fiber (15-16 grams). I also like that they’re very low in sugar!

Incorporating these bars into my daily routine is one way I try to make smart food choices. I always have one of the Pure Protein Plus Bars with me when I head to the gym. In fact, my gym bag essentials are my water bottle, music player, ear phones, and a Pure Protein Plus Bar.
In addition to working out regularly, I also try to consume plenty of fruits & vegetables every day. *Tip: When you opt for seasonal fruits (like blueberries & blackberries right now), you can enjoy produce that’s super fresh & affordable!
Also, I try to drink plenty of water throughout the day. Sometimes I’ll add some fruits or herbs into my water to give it a lovely flavor boost!
Another way I try to take care of myself is by trying to get adequate sleep at night. As a mom of two young kids, I don’t always get as much sleep as I’d like, but I do strive for 8 hours most nights. I like to place my eye mask in the refrigerator for a few hours before bedtime. When I place it over my eyes, it provides a calming, cooling effect. I also love to use my lavender linen spray on my pillow in the evening. The scent of lavender is always so relaxing!

- 4 oz. brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 Pure Protein Plus Bar Mocha Brownie, chopped
- 6 oz. vanilla almond milk
- 1/4 cup non-fat yogurt
- 2-3 tbsp. cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon powder
- Optional: whipped cream & chocolate shavings, for garnish
- 1. Add all the ingredients into a food processor or blender.
- 2. Blend until smooth throughout. Pour into a glass.
- 3. Top with whipped cream & chocolate shavings, if desired.
