Lindi Skin: Beauty Product Review
March 4, 2015I recently had the wonderful opportunity to review some beauty products from the skincare line, Lindi Skin. This line was created in 2003 by Lindy Snider, and it was originally designed for people undergoing cancer treatment. The line features many clinically-proven products that are geared for people with compromised skin. The ingredients that go into their skin care products have all been carefully selected to make sure they are gentle yet effective. Also, all their products are manufactured in the USA in an FDA-compliant facility.
Lindi Skin: Beauty Product Review
Lindi Skin products feature healing botanicals and antioxidants to ensure that the skin is as healthy as possible and is protected from the elements. The products are particularly useful for winter skin, mature skin, skin irritation/rashes, allergy-affected skin, and other skin conditions. Many individuals in the medical and cosmetic communities are endorsing this line for its safe, clinically-proven products. The Face Wash, for example, was awarded the Mass Skin Care product award by the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors Association (ICMAD).
Here are the four products I had the pleasure of testing: Face Wash, Face Serum, Eye Hydrator, and Lip Balm. I do love attractive packaging, and so I was very pleased to see how cute their packaging is! I love the Lindi Skin logo and the simple lines and elegant colors on the boxes. No wonder spas across the country are carrying this line and offering it to their customers!
Let’s start by looking at the Lindi Skin Face Wash, which retails for $22 for 4 ounces. Whereas typical facial cleansers can be drying to the skin, this gentle, non-irritating face wash cleanses the skin without stripping it. It strives to achieve an optimal pH balance. This can be used as often as needed, because it is so gentle on the skin. When I washed my face with this, I was amazed at the soft, smooth moisture that remained on my skin. It truly does leave your skin feeling moisturized, but it still removes the day’s makeup, oils and dirt.
Next I tested the Face Serum, which retails for $40 and is offered in either Lavender or Citrus varieties. The serum is touted as being full of botanicals, antioxidants and vitamins. It also contains the highest concentration of their proprietary LSA Complex, and provides moisture to compromised skin. It can be applied to the face, neck, back and scalp. I was amazed at how the serum did not seem oily, and it was absorbed into my skin so quickly! After it was fully absorbed, my skin looked moisturized & healthy and it was not greasy at all. The scent of citrus was gentle and pleasant, and not overpowering at all.
The Eye Hydrator, which retails for $30, is the next product I tested. It is designed to soothe dryness in the skin around the eyes. It also helps to reduce the appearance of puffiness around the eyes. This can be applied as needed. I was amazed at how the silky formulation of the Eye Hydrator was immediately absorbed into my skin. The eye hydrator is a translucent, rich gel that is a beautiful amber color. It had no scent, so it is perfect for those with sensitive skin.
The Lip Balm, which retails for $10, is rich in Vitamin E and natural extracts to keep lips looking & feeling their best. It comes in a cute, little container and is so portable. Simply throw it into a purse or bag and take it with you. You can even use this product on your cuticles to moisturize them.
