DIY Snowman Mason Jar Luminary

During this time of year, my kids and I love working on seasonal crafts together. Today, I’m going to share with you how we made a fun, festive Snowman Mason Jar Luminary. This project is perfect for keeping the kids entertained indoors on a rainy day. After our craft session was over, I used WaterWipes to make clean-up quick & easy. With only two ingredients, these wipes are a safe, effective solution for my family.
DIY Snowman Mason Jar Luminary
Want to make one of these Snowman Mason Jars for yourself? Here’s what you’ll need:
- glass jar (you can re-use an old spaghetti jar)
- air-dry modeling clay
- orange paint
- white glue
- paintbrush
- red ribbon
- hot glue gun
- salt
- white glitter
- googly eyes
Start by taking a piece of the modeling clay and shape it into a cone.
Paint the cone with some orange acrylic paint. My daughter had a lot of with this step, but her hands got quite messy.
In fact, her hands were pretty much orange when she was done with painting the snowman’s nose!
That’s why I like to always keep WaterWipes on hand! These baby wipe are free of harsh chemicals and they work so well. In fact, they contain only two ingredients: 99.9% pure Irish water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract. With WaterWipes available at a great value at our favorite stores, like online at Walmart, I like to regularly stock up on the world’s purest baby wipe!
After just a few quick swipes with WaterWipes, my daughter’s hands are clean and free of harsh chemicals.
To create a snow-covered look on the mason jar, we painted some white glue on the outside of the jar and then sprinkled a combination of salt & white glitter. Let dry fully.
To wipe up the glitter-covered table after this messy craft session, I used some more WaterWipes. I love that these wipes are both effective and durable without any of the potentially dangerous ingredients that may be found in competitor baby wipes.
In fact, I keep one of these WaterWipes packs in my handbag at all times. It’s so convenient to have these on hand when we’re running around town! From wiping baby’s mouth after a messy messy meal to cleaning the kid’s hands after playing in the dirt, WaterWipes proves a safer, more natural option for little ones.
To finish the snowman, we used hot glue to attach a few googly eyes, the cone nose, and red ribbon scarf. I also placed a battery-operated tealight candle inside!

Oh that is just the cutest little snowman! And those wipes look incredibly handy. My daughter loves to squeeze food through her fingers and then massage her feet with said food hahaha. Such a funny little thing but it definitely is a pain to clean up. These wipes would be perfect.
