The temps around here have really been climbing recently. We actually reached the 80’s the other day. The kids love it when the weather gets nice and warm because it means that we will be spending more time outdoors. However, being outdoors during the spring and summer means we all need to stay hydrated. So I recently pick up Nestlé® Pure Life® water 35-pack from Walmart (it was a fabulous deal) and today, I will share the tutorial for making a DIY No-Sew Water Bottle Holder.
This water bottle holder is perfect for me when I’m on the go. When I take the kids to the playground, I like to keep my water bottle near me. However, when pushing the kids on the swing or picking up my daughter, I can’t hold a bottle of water because both hands are occupied. That’s why I love this water bottle holder. It makes it so convenient to keep water with us at all times.
When my kids get thirsty, I’m always happy to hand them a bottle of water. It’s the perfect hydration for everyone. In fact, I rarely drink anything else throughout the day. I quench my thirst with water and encourage my kids to do the same every day. We always have water bottles on hand when we leave the house to make sure we’re not tempted to get other drinks outside. We love the taste of Nestlé Pure Life because the water is enhanced with a one-of-a-kind blend of minerals.
Drinking water every day is definitely part of a healthy lifestyle and I’m always trying to instill healthy habits in my kids that will carry them through their lives.
In addition to drinking water, a healthy lifestyle also includes being physically active. My kids love going to the park and I’m always encouraging them to run around, explore and have fun!
Ready to learn how to make a holder for your water bottle. There’s no sewing involved, so this tutorial is fast and easy! My kind of project!
DIY No-Sew Water Bottle Holder
Here’s what you’ll need for this project:
- fabric, about 3″x8″
- vinyl, about 1/4 yard
- fabric glue
- scissors
- washi tape/embellishments (optional)
During a recent trip to Walmart to pick up some household essentials, I picked up Nestlé® Pure Life® water 35-pack. It was a fabulous deal and now I have plenty of water bottles that I can conveniently take with me on the go. If the 35-pack of Nestle Pure Life is not available in your local Walmart, please ask a store manager about getting the product in your area. I love that Nestlé Pure Life is dedicated to providing pure, great-tasting water to consumers throughout the nation! Did you know that every drop of water is filtered through a 12-step quality process? Click here to find out more about how this process delivers delicious, pure hydration!
With this 35-pack of water bottles, I am getting a fabulous deal by getting three additional bottles for the same price as the original 32-pack. Find Nestle products at Walmart online (only the 24-pack is available online), but be sure to visit the store to get the 35-pack! Also, be on the lookout for a refreshed packaging from Nestle this upcoming May at a store near you!
For the water bottle holder, start by cutting a piece of fabric about 3″x8″. Fold over the fabric and use the fabric glue to make a 1/2″ hem on all sides.
Wrap this fabric around the water bottle and secure the seam with fabric glue.
*TIP: Make it loose enough that you can easily remove the water bottle and put a new one inside.
Cut 2 strips of the vinyl that are each about 1″x6″. Start by attaching one end of the strip to the inside of the bottom of the bottle wrap with hot glue. See the following picture for clarification.
Secure the other end of the strip to the opposite part of the bottle wrap. Now, use hot glue to attach the second strip to the inside of the bottle wrap.
Attach the open end of the strip to the bottle wrap. See how we created a criss-cross bottom that will hold the water bottle in place.
Finally, we need to attach a strap to the top part of the bottle wrap so we can carry this holder. Use hot glue to attach one vinyl strip that’s about 1/4″x30″. You can adjust the length of the strap to suit your needs. Want to place the strap around your wrist like a wristlet? Use a shorter strap. Want to wear the water bottle like a cross-body bang? Use a longer strap.
See how the bottle hangs inside this cute little pouch! It’s perfectly adorable. If you want to add a bit more pizzazz, feel free to add fabric washi tape and/or other embellishments. I love the combination of this geometric fabric with the shiny blue vinyl, but you may use any fabric that catches your eye. If you can’t find vinyl fabric, just use ribbon for the strap.
This water bottle holder is not only functional, but it’s also totally fashionable!
Look for Nestlé Pure Life water 35-pack from Walmart in the water aisle. Don’t forget that Pure Life is re-launching in mid-May and will have new packaging. For special promotions and offers from Nestlé, visit their website here.
