Metallic Pumpkin Craft w/ Chalkboard BOO Message
October 9, 2015You know me and dollar store pumpkins! I can’t resist them! I see them sitting there on a shelf for only $1 and I know I can make them into something beautiful! I can transform them from this plastick-y orange color to a chic pumpkin decoration! Today’s post is another example of what I’ve done with dollar store pumpkins!
Dollar Store Craft Pumpkin Makeover
Supplies:
1 dollar store pumpkin
some twine
metallic silver spray paint
small piece of cardboard
small chalkboard label
hot glue
Directions:
1. Spray paint your pumpkin with the silver metallic paint.
2. Using the cardboard, extend the tiny little stem that comes with the pumpkin into a more dramatic and elegant stem. Make it longer and make it curve a bit!
3. Using hot glue, wrap the stem with the twine. Secure with glue in multiple spots around the stem.
4. Hand the little chalkboard label and write a fun message on the label, like BOO!
Wasn’t that one so easy?!
I’m loving my new pumpkin with its adorable little chalkboard label! Right now, it’s sitting on my fireplace mantel, which I have recently decorated for Halloween! Stay tuned for my post that shows my new SPOOK-tacular mantel!
