Cake batter truffles recipe

January 15, 2012 0 By EngineerMommy

I came across this recipe and thought it sounded too good to be true. A no-bake recipe for a cake batter dessert! Really? I love cake batter flavored anything!

So I gave it a go, and love the result. It’s pretty and the small size of each truffle makes it a cinch to portion control. For example, you can force yourself to have only one per day. Or one per hour.

Anyway, let’s get to the recipe.

Cake batter truffles recipe

1 ½ cups flour
1 cup yellow cake mix
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
3-4 Tablespoons milk
2 Tablespoons sprinkles

Truffle Coating:
1 bag white candy melts)
4 Tablespoons yellow cake mix
sprinkles

Mix together the butter, sugar, cake mix, flour, salt and vanilla. Add 3 tbsp of milk or more as necessary to adjust the consistency of the dough. Add the sprinkles and roll into small balls. Lay them on a silicone baking sheet and chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.

Melt the white candy melts in a double boiler and dip the dough balls in the melted candy. Top with sprinkles.
